They are not the ones doing the song. Close is good enough.
Electric Light Orchestra - “Electric Avenue”
Radiohead - “Radio Free Europe”
The Zombies - “Zombie”

I’m not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but here goes:
There is Euphoria by Delerium (a song I love).
And there is Delirium by Euphoria (slight spelling change).
I’m not entirely sure what you’re looking for. Can we include songs that are specifically about other bands, or are you asking for songs about topics, like ‘radio’, that other groups have used as the name of the band?
Nothing fancy, just the band’s name (more or less) appears in a song title performed by a different band.
Dennis
“Runaway” by The Runaways
“I’m Your Captain” by the Captain & Tennille
“Take Me To Church” by The Church
Not exactly a band, but I’m going with it anyway.
Well one came immediately to mind:
I was up to about 70 examples before accidentally backspacing…
The Wombats had a song called “Let’s dance to Joy Division”
Daft Punk is Playing at My House
I’m still a little confused.
If I am interpreting the question correctly, I could answer The Who being mentioned in ‘Who Let the Dogs Out’?
And also The Lettermen, The The, Dr. Dog, and Outkast???
mmm
Bob Dylan: “Like a Rolling Stone.”
The Go-Gos / Wake Me Up Before You Go Go
The Eagles / Fly Like an Eagle
The The/(can’t think of any off the top of my head, but there must be some out there)
Kung Fu Fighting / Foo Fighters
Weezer - “Buddy Holly”
But the OP is looking for songs performed by other bands. I still don’t get it, though; basically I could name any song with the word “electric” in it and it would fit Electric Light Orchestra? Or any song with the word “light” in it, for that matter? We would be here a very long time.
the Who have the song Mike Post’s theme
Phish - “David Bowie”
We can do it! A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. If you begin with a cause you believe in nothing can get in the way.
The The - Jerry Lee Lewis “The end of the road”
The Dead - - A Lemonade Ad
If songs named after individual musicians count, there’s the Taylor Swift song “Tim McGraw”, the Barenaked Ladies song “Brian Wilson”, and Chuck Berry’s “Roll over, Beethoven”.
