Songs to wake up to.

I just bought an mp3 playing alarm clock and I need suggestions.

All I got so far is Korn’s Wake Up.

Bolero by Maurice Ravel. It has that nice, slow, and quiet intro which gives you a couple of extra minutes.

Volunteers by Jefferson Airplane off of the Woodstock soundtrack. Pounding bass, janging guitar, and Grace Slick screaming “Good morning, people!”

I’ll Make a Man Out of You from the Mulan soundtrack. Good motivational music if you want to cultivate the habit of leaping energetically from your bed and launching into a vigorous morning calisthenic routine.

I Got You Babe by Sonny and Cher, although it might get monotonous after a while.

“The Sporting Life” by Diamanda Galas and John Paul Jones

I can’t take harsh sounds in the morning, so I’d vote for When Morning Comes to Morgantown by Joni Mitchell.

You beat me to it! Another Groundhog Day fan, I presume.

My husband wakes up every morning to Jessica by the Allman Brothers.

Ballroom Blitz by Sweet

“Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and the Wave…if you want to get up right away.

“What I Got” by Sublime…just because the beginning is about waking up.

Good Morning- The Beatles

Wipeout.

Jimi Hendrix Star Spangled Banner.

Hot Rod Lincoln by Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen
Superfreak by Rick James

Wake Up by XTC
Get Up by R.E.M.

I’m Only Sleeping - The Beatles

Gotta Get Up–Harry Nilsson

I’m Only Sleeping by the Beatles for those of us who’d rather stay where they are.

Let the Day Begin by The Call.
