Songs to...well...you know...to.

We have all of these threads about songs, so I figured I’d throw in the obvious. Are there any songs that get you in the mood to get it on, or that you’ve always thought would be great to have sex to?

Mine are:

“Bullet the Blue Sky” by U2. Don’t ask me why.

“Closer” by Nine Inch Nails. In this, I am not unique.

“Kissed by a Rose” by Seal. Damn, he’s sexy.

“Karma Police” by Radiohead. Again, don’t ask me why.

“Wipeout” (Safaries) - Not for the faint of heart, sand and towel optional.

“Tubular Bells” (Michael Oldfield) - Music from the movie “The Exorcist”. Go figure.

“Walking on the moon” (The Police) - You have to loop this one, it’s only four minutes long.

Tubular Bells? That song creeps me out still.

I’d like to hear some Enya or Marvin Gaye

Bob Marley works for me.

I prefer rogues to imbeciles because they sometimes take a rest.
Alexandre Dumas the Younger (1824-1895)

In my mind, good memories are associated with Shooting Rubberbands At The Stars by Edie Brickell and New Bohemians, and lots of music by Crowded House. (Yeah, I know, but it wasn’t ever my stereo.)

Aside: That NIN song makes me queasy, and I mean that literally. Something about the drumbeat makes me feel physically ill. Dunno why, but it also happens with songs that have a similar beat.

Of course I don’t fit in; I’m part of a better puzzle.

Anything by Marvin Gaye

Chicks dig the long ball and Marvin Gaye.

The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who don’t have it.
George Bernard Shaw

I’ve always felt that INXS “Need You Tonight” was one of the sexiest songs I’ve ever heard. But of course I’d need more than 3 minutes of music… Since the wife wouldn’t go for Jane’s Addiction, I think the Pat Methey CD 'New Chautaucqua" would work quite nice (an obvious mood shift, but what the hell).

“Sportin’ Life” by Weather Report. I have some very warmmemories of that CD. :o

“Strobe Light” by the B52’s (especially WITH a strobe light going)…I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

Given that premiere of the movie 10 on HBO roughly coincided with my puberty, I’d have to go with Ravel’s Bolero.

Enigma is the best music for the occasion. I can’t remember which album as the song “mea culpa” (sp) but that one gets me every time. Just thinking about it makes me weak in the knees…I think it’s time to go home now…

Any Sting CD
Most Peter Gabriel CDs

Prince, Purple Rain (done that)
Anything by Tangerine Dream (Try it- you’ll like it!)

An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity; A pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity.

The Enigma album Stella refers to is MCMXC a.D.. I used to think it was very erotic until I saw the movie Sliver. Now I just think it’s boring.

(BTW, Sliver has got to be the least thrilling and erotic erotic thriller ever made.)

Let second (or third) Marvin Gaye, and add…

Aretha Franklin
Al Green
and of course Barry White.

That man is sex!

Know it all,

Thanks, now I know not to ever watch Sliver. That would just ruin a great mood CD for me!

Doesn’t Sliver have one of the Baldwins in it? They gross me out anyway- YUCK!

Barry white goes without saying.

Some of my top CD’s to get my mojo working with are:

Bob Marley Legend
Pure Moods I & II
Anything by Dave Matthews Band, some of the best songs are Lover Lay Down, Crash, Crush, and the best of all Say Goodbye.

GOD you people are predictable…how anyone can get turned on by listening to soul music is beyond me…it makes my skin crawl and my stomach churn to listen to that stuff.

Some of MY favorites:

“Shine” by Collective Soul
“I Fall to Pieces” or “Walking after Midnight” by Patsy Cline
“Why Worry” by Dire Straits
ANYTHING by Chris Isaak or Roy Orbison
ANYTHING off “Sweethearts of the Rodeo”

Chocolate Salty Balls by Chef. Hands down.

“I think it would be a great idea” Mohandas Ghandi’s answer when asked what he thought of Western civilization

My fav is also my favorite instrumental (another thread?) - Jessica by the Allman Bros. The tempo and the “ride” match the way orgasm builds…

Mmmm…

I am glad someone else finds NIN physically disturbing… thought it was just me.

The reason gentlemen prefer blondes is that there are not enough redheads to go around.

“Turning Japanese”
“Dancing with Myself”
“When I Think about You …”
