I love, love, LOVE that Jax is so sure that Clay is the one who torched Caracara! It’s nice to see him miscalculate for a change. Do y’all think the masturbating accountant made it out of the fire somehow? I’m glad Darby’s finally gone; he was getting annoying.
Holy cats Clay, guns from Hamas!? Yikes!
I love the idea that Tom Arnold and the porn girl are in cahoots, that’s interesting. I hope Zoebell isn’t behind Caruso, Zoebell is already a bit larger than life and I like the idea of the club having more than one problem/antagonist.
Chibs’ wife was given quite the intro and then we hear that she’s probably traveling with someone badass. I’m anxious to see how that plays out. Perhaps Chibs’ estranged wife and her companion will protect him once he’s transferred from Tara’s hospital?
If Jax goes nomad…does that mean that he’s actually going to be somewhat nomadic? Is he going to leave his son with Tara, with his mother? What the hell is Jax’s thought process here? Does he think the club will revolt against Clay on it’s own? If so, how can he expect to return as leader if they do the hard work of ousting Clay without him. Puzzled I am.
I hope the accountant made it out, I am starting to like him.
Yeah, Clay is obsessed with the guns. Porn is dirty but guns are not? Are you a fucking moron?
Yea, me too.
It seems like his wife is a major player in their IRA gun connection which complicates things for Chibs quite a bit.
I don’t know what that means for Jax on a day to day basis. It seems like Bobby and Piney might try to talk him out of it. But yea, Jax needs to go to England, and I think that’s part of what this is about.
Darby was unconscious and would have perished in the fire if the accountant hadn’t pulled him out on his own way out after everyone else left. Otherwise it would have been reported with at least one dead body in the fire. But we did not hear about any dead bodies found. Darby was meant to be left there as a message to SAMCRO and with an arson and murder charge on SAMCRO for his death. But him not being there means that the truth is still out there and will come in at a very inconvenient time for everyone.
Chibb’s ex-wife hangs out with Johnny O, her current lover, and he is apparently very heavy in some Irish crimes of some sort and he apparently hates Chibbs.
I like how Clay’s attempt to turn Opie more toward “his way” backfired. Opie might be a lot of things, but he’s still a decent human being as SAMCRO goes.
And I loved the great bit of introspection/self-awareness from Tig, trying to keep Opie out of it: “I know MY shit’s upside-down.”
Pokey is pretty good comic relief and you can bet that if he escaped, then so did Darby. More to the point, if SoA gets Darby on their side then they’ve got a heck of a weapon to use against the supremacists. I suspect that they’re both alive.
It’s not yet apparent that SOA (meaning Chibbs) sold out the IRA. Jimmy O vastly overplayed his hand with Chibbs, but he might not know it yet. The ATF showing up at the safe house might have come from somewhere else, and since the guy busted is cooperating, it may never be exposed that it was Chibbs.
“You too sweetheart, sit. You know what it is I have to tell them.”
That line sent chills down my spine. For some reason I thought Gemma was going to tell Jax she knows about Donna and then try to work things out between him and Clay. Her reveal caught me off guard.
And Clay didn’t get angry. That was the saddest part.
Oh Chibbs is going to take Jimmy O down, he’s committed. There will be no reconciliation with the Irish. I think this is leading toward them getting out of the gun trade, or to a tragic end like the Shield.
Yeah, I know. I was thinking Donna too. Once she mentioned the car accident, I was stunned.
I don’t think Jax and Clay would’ve bonded as easily as it appeared after that. Sure Jax would’ve decided to remain in the club and they’d set aside their differences to take care of more important things, but I don’t buy it being more than that. Of course this show has pleasantly surprised me every step of the way, so I’ll see where it goes. Either way, I’ll keep watching it.
The writers are giving the actors some difficult story lines to play and they are all playing the hell out of them.
Tig was great telling Opie that he killed Donna. He was so rattled with guilt that risking death seemed like a better idea than living.
And Opie holds it together. The club still holds it together. That is impressive considering where things were in the middle of the previous episode. And considering that after Jax and Clay make up, in walks Tigs and tells everyone he killed Donna.
Looking forward to seeing some white supremacist getting his balls cut off.
I loved the episode. I didn’t expect it and it changed the landscape of the show big time. Opie forgiving the club, Tig and Clay particularly, isn’t what I expected. It makes a lot of sense to me though and if they play up lingering resentment, I’m A-okay with it. It’s kind of like forgiving a cheating partner; sure you might be pissed and betrayed but it’s tough to leave if you’ve built your life around someone.
I see Clay getting tired of Opie playing the Donna card and reopening the conflict.
So, is Stahl neutralized with guilt or is she out for blood after she and Opie’s…discussion?
What about Chibs? Did he come all the way clean w/ SAMCRO or did he sign the deal and hedge his bets? What becomes of his family and the gun connection in either case?
When the crap are we going to find out what happened to Mastrubator and Darby? They must play a role in the upcoming battle.
Yeah, she is the best actor in the whole show which is filled with great performances. She seemed even hotter to me in that believable emotional outpouring. There is just something about that character that is unbelievably sexy. I loved her real fear, her real anguish at fearing for her life.
I don’t think Opie will continue to play the Donna card, he’s got his moral authority and now he and Jax are on the same side. This episode really represented a shift in Clay’s power. Opie only played the Donna card in order to resolve the underlying issues, in order to handle his shit, to reconcile with Jax, and to get his Father a pass.
