My take on the Meadow - Coco incident - family is off limits, unless actively involved in the business. Meadow is a civilian, even if she knows what is going on.
By mob standards, Coco got what he deserved, maybe a little bit extra. Maybe it was part of a campaign against Tony, or maybe Coco simply went too far on his own. Come to think of it, Phil’s financial retaliation seems rather restrained after a attack on one of his creatures. Phil not coming downstairs to tell Tony off - after all the face to face crap they have had? Maybe he is physically afraid of Tony. Two shows left - I wonder if the writers are simply going to drop this like they did the Russian guy in the Pine Barrens, or the way they simply deported Furio.
Again with Pine Barrens and Furio. Those stories were closed. Just because some dude was Chechen special forces doesn’t mean he is going to pull a Chuck Norris. He survived a mob kill and he’s doing the smart thing and staying far away with his head down. Same with Furio. He made a pass at the boss’ wife. Now it is time for him to retreat and never again show up. No Chuck Norris moments. No Jean Claude van Damme coming in to win the woman away from the husband. Wrong story! I really don’t understand why so many fans can’t let this go - have you watched too many bad movies and expect everything to turn out that way?
I;m going to miss this show SO much. Is there anything new out on the horizin that looks promsing?
When may I expect a report on the series finale?
Next week. Tonight is the penultimate episode and June 10 is the finale.
The House Next Door has an excellent recap.
Tony is a psychopath. If anyone of us liked him, we have been tricked by him just like Dr. Melfi was.
ETA: I meant to post this in the newer sopranos thread. :smack:
