I thought this one was pretty good. I liked Kyle’s mom going Jersey, and the Teen Wolf nod. I also liked Kyle going off on Cartman. I think I might have appreciated it more if I’d ever seen Jersey Shore, and I don’t think I really got the “Snookie’ and 'Situation” references, although I assume they’re characters on the show. Is Snookie as nasty as they made her look? Because that’s about as brutal a portrayal as they’ve done since Mel Gibson.
I don’t think Snooki is that bad . . . I think in terms of personality she’s one of the more likeable people on the show, although her look is pretty goofy.
I loved how the “sitch” had his abs exposed for no reason. Just like the show. Good times.
“Snookie” raping Cartman had me laughing so hard I thought I was going to throw up. I’ve never watched Jersey Shore, but they’ve infiltrated pop culture so much as of late I still had enough of a passing knowledge to get what was going on and find the show hilarious.
I loved the parody of Jersey Shore, but I did think it was a little off the way that Jersey was finally defeated. A little bit too soon. Matt and Trey are often a little bit too soon with a joke, and it’s not much, but I wasn’t entirely on board with that one.
I thought the episode was hilarious. I have a good friend for Jersey and she hates all these shows (“Goddamnit, we aren’t all like that!”) and I made sure she watched this.
Good episode all around. My wife was raised in New Jersey for a few years. Thankfully she didn’t get the accent but every once and a while that attitude will slip out. Me, born and raised in Cali, just looks at her sometimes and go, “Dude, there’s no reason for that. Be nice.”
For the people who don’t watch Jersey Shore, the reason Snooki kept saying, “want smushy-smushy” or whatever is because “smush” is the term the JS denizens use for sex
The muff cabbage thing seems odd, since it combines two different slang words for the same thing. I assumed the cabbage part was to imply that it had not been taken care of properly.
I also thought the use of cabbage by itself was actually them saying garbage in the New Jersey accent.
It was a good episode. I think if I was familiar with the show “Jersey Shore,” it woud’ve been funnier. I like the way the Situation was drawn to look fairly close to his face in real life.
It kind of went all over the place and I think the Al-Qaeda thing didn’t add anything to the humour. It just wasn’t funny. It could’ve been left out or something else could’ve been used. After all Al-Qaeda is pretty weak anyway. Using a Hugo Chávez type of leader might have been funnier
Muffs are bushes. It’s a reference to fur muffs used as hand warmers. Muffs meant bush before you were born, dude. You kids didn’t invent the word. It comes from an era before shaving was commonplace.
