pedescribe’s interjection makes me think Jimmy’s syllable theory has merit.
Though I still prefer Natlaw’s point that the pattern really should be color based. Making it a word-thing is kind of silly. Word games should be played with words. Color games should be played with colors. Word games using colors is needlessly confusing.
I’m pretty confident about my last one, though didn’t spell it out completely:
A Town Rancher shares his colors with the opposite position one of a Town Farmer.
A Werewolf Rancher, however, shares his colors with the same position one of a Farmer.
Same holds when you switch Rancher and Farmer in the above rules.
Supporting evidence:
Justin, Werewolf Rancher, shares his Purple second with Farmer Seekers Purple second.
Rancher Telcontar shares his Green second with Farmer Novembers Green first.
Farmer Seeker shares his Black first with Rancher Jimmy’s Black second.
It would need to have these missing patterns for Town:
Rancher:
Yellow/?
Red/?
Purple/? - ?/Fuchsia
I’ll be curious to find out how pedescribe assigned values for the testerizer. I wonder if he determines the values each week or if he assigned values to each player at the beginning of the game. At first, it doesn’t seem like it matters, but I believe it does. Especially in light of the double “Bl” this week.
Heh heh. Welcome to the graveyard. Very nicely played with the pointing of your finger at Telcontar. Now I can’t figure out if he’s an innocent townie you meant to implicate, or if he’s actually a wolf, and you want town to think he’s innocent by virtue of your accusation.
It helped that I really did think you were a wolf pre-test; The way you broke the tie between Justin and Mhaye really stood out to me once I started getting suspicious of mhaye. I actually had fairly elaborate reasons for wanting to kill you, but was too lazy to put together a “he always votes late, he’s a joiner, he doesn’t add many new arguments, he voted with justin a lot…” sort of case. I was full prepared to take your theory seriously if you had turned out to be town though
He really was doing rather well. Having said that it’s easy for a wolf going down to play the aggrieved townie. In both Jimmy and EH’s cases I really had second thoughts as the vote was going through.
Given that both we and the wolves were killing in a random (in respect to farmer/rancher status) fashion, the game has always been heavily biased towards a tie. This is why I was so eager to kill jimmy the day before yesterday. I knew that if i was right about him then i was probably right about mhaye and killing wolf then wolf would have given the game to the ranchers. As it is, this game should be over this week, with a tie.
Anyone still think that:
1.) Mhaye is innocent?
2.) Mhaye is wrong about the testerizer?
Since Jimmy was a wolf, I think it’s pretty clear.
But but… Justin Credible (5): Telcontar, Mhaye, rexnervous, AllWalker, Jimmy Chitwood
MHaye (4): Zeriel, Mahaloth, Justin Credible, Oredigger77
When wolves cast decisive votes for wolves there’s usually a reason, no?
I mean, I could be wrong, and you’d certainly be the one to know if i was, but I was very serious about:
Anyway, town has a very clear path to victory if the testerizer is correctly solved regardless of whether I’m right. Only advantages to being right today are speed and guaranteed tie. If we wait until tomorrow to be right then there is a 33% chance of a random faction winning outright.
I suppose adriann would be my next suspicion, but that’s primarily due to lack of better options.
If there is only one wolf left, and the testerizer theory is indeed correct, then the rest of the game is a sure win for Town. All Town has to do is if they fail to test a wolf, make sure they enter each Night with an even number of players. That means if they test Town and have an odd number of players, they need to lynch one of the unknowns. If they test Town and have an even number of players, No Lynch.
Town can’t lose unless they are wrong about the testerizer or there is more than one wolf left. How many players did the game start with?
I doubt it. Vermillion is quite a distance beyond Crimson alphabetically, so I imagine that they’ll proceed to lynch phase posthaste.
Sachertorte’s perspective has been mine for quite some time, for what it’s worth. I thought town had the game locked up days ago as long as they didn’t do anything aggressively counterproductive. Which is why the lethargic, uninspired town play lately has been so frustrating from a wolf perspective, since it didn’t produce any mistakes but it wasn’t especially exciting gameplay.
As I mentioned in game that was my view. If the testerizer theory is right then wolf victory has been really really unlikely for some time. Having said that I was rather proud of the EH, Justin, Jimmy string, even if it wasn’t strictly necessary.
Well, I’m really confused by Jimmy’s vote to test Justin if Adrian II is a wolf. Having said that, the testerizer theory really does look right overall, so i would be voting to lynch adrian II right now. (also confused why zeriel didn’t die earlier, why tested people were allowed to build up, etc, but those just look like clear mistakes).
