It happened again this week. I came down to watch adult swim and realised that I missed the first 10 minutes or so of Family Guy.
I figured, no biggie, but then I realise this nights show was the dreaded SOUTHERN SHOW! Where the Griffins end up in the deep and stereotypical south. Hilarity ensues.
So why is it DREADED? Because every time it is one I manage to miss the first part of it. Like: Why is there someone wanting to kill a member of the family? What is with the answering machine messages at the end? What funny short clips have I missed.
A thug wants to kill Chris because Chris is the only witness to his holding up a convenience store. Peter blunders into the lineup where Chris is picking him out and announces Chris’s full name and provides the thug with a school photo of Chris, which he tells the thug he can keep because “Chris ruined it by writing his school schedule and a list of his greatest fears” on the back.
The answering machine messages are from an extremely old pedophile who has his rhuemy eye on Chris, who is his paperboy. The extremely old pedophile turns up in tonight’s episode too.
