Spongebob Squarepants is 10.
For those of you who are not shocked by that, I have a question:
Where can I find a List of the Top 10 User picked episodes? Nick has REALLY dropped the ball on this.
Of course we know SpongeBob is 10- I even started a thread about it.
Scouring the Internet, I see that the top 10 user-picked SpongeBob episodes are:
- Suds
- Patty Hype
- Valentine’s Day
- The Paper
- Help Wanted
- SB-129
- The Camping Episode
- Ripped Pants
- F.U.N.
- Pizza Delivery
Some solid SpongeBob in that list, I must say (although I’d like to see either Krusty Krab Training Video or fan favorite Band Geeks in there).
Having a 3 year old, I am “familiar” with quite a few episodes of this show. Not knowing the episode titles, I’d say my favorite is “The one where Squidward tells some other squid he has a band, and the misfit band has tp play at some bowl game, and their song ROCKED”
That would be “Band Geeks.” A big fan favorite, and a pretty funny one.
Figured Mobo would be in to answer, I thought later, I should have asked him by name.
I figured it was on the internet, I just couldn’t find the “” Offical “” list, from the bash. My google fu found glorified opinions. Not the fact that we now have from Nick.
That, and fear of a Krabby Patty.
Plankton, as Peter Lankton, psychiatrist, : “What else is loud and obnoxious?” [Cell phone rings]

Spongebob “Sorry Mr.Krabs, what’s that you said?” [Krabs repeats, but Spongebob continues to see a giant Krabby Patty, and hears “blab blab blab”]
That’s what I thought you said, let me offer this as a rebuttal : AGGGGGRH!
And, Ripped Pants, over Bubblestand?! Really?
I liked trying to catch the bus out of bikini bottom, and boat license.
Three words: Hash Slinging Slasher
Two words: Sea Bear.
Three more words: Best. Day. Everrrrr.
Also, the one where Plankton trades lives with Mr. Krabs, and the one where SpongeBob ends up on the bottom of the ocean with all the strange fish.
And the one where SpongeBob becomes normal.
Lots of choice SpongeBobs. Once you start thinking of good ones it’s hard to stop. I’ll throw in “Wet Painters,” “Just One Bite” (which, unlike “Procrastination,” is still enjoyable and sensible in its censored version), “Club SpongeBob” (praise the Magic Conch), and anything with Mermaidman and/or Barnacleboy.
The sponge still has it in him: some of the new episodes last night were just as good as all your classic choices. I especially liked SpongeBob caught in the wringer, Squidward’s TV show, and Plankton turning into SpongeBob after trying to suck the Krabby Patty recipe out of his heart (because as we all know, the true secret lies not in the brain, but the heart).
Oh, and “Nasty Patty” (dead health inspector), which has the best Costeau line: “Yes, they are all idiots, aren’t they?”
My kids’ favorite is the “Doodle Bob” episode, mine is probably “Band Geeks.” I also like the one where Squidward moves into the little, gated, “no sponges allowed,” octopus community.*
*Squidward is actually an octopus, not a squid, at least according to a behind the scenes thing on one of the DVD’s. I know he only has six legs, but Steve Hillenburg (the creator and former marine biologist) said it was easier to animate six legs than eight. he also said they had originally tried doing some gags with Squidward spraying ink, but it always just looked like he was shitting the water so they gave it up.
This list is wrong. It doesn’t have Aargh! on it, which is the best! episode! ever!

This list is WAY wrong.
No training video? (bum bumbumbum ba dadada da da diddily daaaa)
No Band Geeks? (too bad that didn’t kill me/ That’s his eager face)
No Shanghaid? (You’re good…you’re good)
An inking gag was used in the 6th season (I looked it up) episode “Giant Squidward”.
Heh, those are my three favorites as well. I love the scene in Shanghai’d where Spongebob and Patrick are forced to run through the perfume department.
