It was a good thing that we looked at the tickets before heading out to the raceway. It’s next weekend! :smack:
So the day has been spent cleaning the living room and mopping the kitchen floor. Mr Rebo shampooed the worst spots that Blaze keeps making. That boy pees on the carpet almost every day, and sometimes twice!
I keep going outside for no good reason, too. The house is all opened up. It’s bee-yoo-tiful out there!
We’re going out to dinner at the nearby steakhouse. Ima get me a filet mignon like last time - it practically melts in your mouth!
Migraine, day two. This really sucks.

I fried up some chickie strips for supper. I don’t fry often, since it’s not particularly healthy, so it was like a treat.
I think it’s time to turn this machine off and assume the knit position. Laundry is done and I just want to chill.

Well, I just got called keee-yute by a very intoxicated female patient. She wanted me to hold her hand all the way to the hospital…

Sounds like you got some pretty good deals, rigs. Glad I’m not the only one who has pants-don’t-fit days. When they fit, I buy multiple pairs. Shoes sound interesting.

It’s been chilly and rainy all day; everything is pretty sodden here. Fortunately I am not in a flood-prone area whew! So have just been chillin’ and relaxing. Tomorrow I will probably make something in the crock pot - chili, possibly. And I might make some tandoori chicken. Num!
Home from cocktails and dindin. ‘Twas num! Pork roast with sauerkraut, smashed N.O.T., rolls and strawberry shortcake. My friend Joan is a marvelous cook! Plus we had martinis. She had put out cheese and crackers as a munch befor dindin and, bein’ as she is ever so thoughtful, she had some flatbread for me to have with cheese because she remembered I gave up salty snacks, i.e. crackers and such, for Lent. Ain’t that sweet!

Belated birthday happies, Nava!
It’s been a busy few days - Friday I was out doing exam invigilation at a doc’s surgery half an hour’s drive from home, that went well apart from having one student not show up at all. Afterwards I went to a friend’s retirement party and had far too much wine, followed up at home by too many vodkas. Never mind, it was a fun night!
Yesterday I went shopping with a friend and bought a rather nice frock to wear to a wedding that I’m going to in the summer. Of course that will mean that I need shoes and suchlike to go with it but that will have to wait until my bestest shoe-shopping buddy is available for a day out.
Today it’s Mothering Sunday here so I am off to see my doting parent. The only thing we have planned is lunch out somewhere, I don’t know where she wants to go but I told her to book somewhere of her choice so that should be fun.
Busy day, got to rush! Rosie’s sig to all…have a good Sunday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. It’s near seven am and still dark out. This is why I don’t like dst. It should be light out by seven am imo.
I get to be an ush this mornin’ in church. I get to herd the flock, do the count for Communion, take the offerin’, pick up service leaflets after church because there are people who think their mothers work there, so they think nuttin’ of just leavin’ leaflets in the pews, count up the cash and fill in the little report and other stuff like makin’ sure the lessons are properly marked at the Lecturn and such.
After church we have a Liturgy Committee meetin’ to discuss Easter season and also a meetin’ re the big St. Patrick’s celebration next Saturday. Thus, I get to spend lots and lots of time at church today. Go early. Stay late. Oh, speakin’ of next Saturday, can y’all believe I took a day off work to spend it cookin’! Yeah, I know how to vacation, I do!
Here’s hopin’ everybody who needed to remembered to Spring (though it’s not Spring yet) Forward or you’re readin’ this an hour later than you think you are.
Up. I changed some clocks, but not all. We’ll get there.
It’s still grey and dreary, and my yard squishes. I have a lot of yard work to do, but nothing will get done till the ground is a tad less saturated. There are tons of branches down, which translates to lots of smaller firewood. I’m going to call about getting the big dead tree out front dropped - talk about firewood!! **FCD **thinks he can take it down, but with its proximity to the house and its size, I’m going to get some estimates from pros - just to see.
I wonder how long it’ll take to get realigned with the clock? I wonder why we even bother with changing the stoopit clocks - can’t we pick a time and stick with it?? Sheesh.
I wonder what to do for breakfast? **FCD **and daughter are going out together. I supposed I can fry an egg or sumpin’. Mebbe an egg sammich? That has possibilities.

Brekkied and all purtified for deheathenization/ush duties. OYKW is also brekkied and is in the process of purtification. I will leave ahead of him as I need to be there earlyish to take care of preush stuff. Plus, I have Easter candy stuff to take this mornin’. We are makin’ up Easter baskets for kids who, ummm… are Easter basket deprived, I guess. I dunno. All I know is I got told that I should bring Easter candy sometime within the next couple of weeks. Always do what the church ladies tell ya and things will be alright.
I didn’t fry an egg after all - I scrambled/nuked instead. My egg sammich was kinda, sorta satisfying. A chocolate donut would make a perfect dessert. Too bad I don’t have one here.
Oh well, guess I could shower instead. Can’t stay in my robe all day, can I?
