I have to unclog the vacuum.
I need to wash the mop head and I don’t know what to wash it with. I usually toss it in with the dog bed but his bed is so shredded that I’m afraid to wash it and was going to get him a new one.
Oh well, this stuff isn’t going to do itself so I need to get at it.
Howdy from da cave! I did a couple quick local visits this afternoon and then headed here. YAY! Ima cook real food in a little bit. Cubed steak ‘n gravy, smashed N.O.T., butter beans and bizkits. YUM! We are both in need of comfort foods tonight. Neither of us are as miserable as we were yestiddy. I think that’s because it feels like some rain may be comin’ on in tomorrow which will help clear the air a bit.
I just got some call from some political organization with a survey about hillary and I couldn’t hang up. Every time I tried to call out the damn survey was still running.
Bad enough I keep getting the life alert shit and the free phone shit and the microsoft scammers, now I get the political shit too.
Damn assholes!
I block and block and block their numbers and they still keep calling.
I’ve been spendin’ some time over on facebook reminiscin’ on a page about Ye Olde Hometowne and the local liberry. The concensus was that if we had all gone “to study at the liberry” as often as we told our 'rents we did, we’d have been a town full of geniuses.
She goes absolutely bananas when he comes home. You have never seen so much concentrated wiggle in one 15# dog!! Plus the sound effects! She’s hilarious!!
Supper was good. I want another rice krispy treat, but I have to not eat for another 45 minutes, then take my antibiotic, then wait another hour before I can eat again.
Babysitting the new computer while it restarts. I’m thinking of naming the new computer Jean, after Jean Sibelius the composer, since Sibelius is the name of the music software on the computer.
I received a package in the mail today from one of the Indiana cousins. She sent a book sized portion of the genealogy that she’s done on Dad’s side of the family going back to the sixteenth century. :l
Driving was incredibly awful tonight. It was raining, which was interacting with the snow on the ground to create fog…& runoff…& puddles, which means you couldn’t see the brand spankin’ new car-swallowing potholes at all.
I was hearing a noise in the house that I couldn’t identify.
Turns out the sump pump has an inlet to it that I didn’t even know about which is trickling water into it. Hmmm, I wonder what the source of that water is as the inlet comes under the concrete floor from ???
At least it’s doing it’s job, right?
We got more and longer rain than predicted. I am doing happy dances because if it washed the salt dust away, Bessie and me are ready for it. She fired right over and kicked the walls of her stall a little.
People around here who live in flood plains are not as happy as I am.

I have one word for you: nomorobo
It’s not perfect as the phone will ring once-ish for the service to see its a robocall before routing them to oblivion, but it’s a small annoyance.
Google Voice is also your friend. I’m the registration chair of a mid-size (~350 people) convention. I started a Google Voice account for that because I don’t want to be bugged with convention questions while I’m at irk. Google Voice calls my cell and I have the option of allowing the call to ring through so I can answer it, or I can just send the call to voice mail. If it’s someone I need to talk to, I can call back. Or not.
Speaking of irk, today is going to suck. I was up way too late watching “How to Get Away with Murder” and now I’m up way too early.
I was dreaming that my paternal grandmother was moving in with us and our new baby. What’s wrong with this picture? Said grandmother died in 1972. My “baby” is going on 30 and at 61, there ain’t no way I’d be squeezing out another, even if the factory hadn’t been torn down a quarter of a century ago!
The worst part - this dream woke me at 4AM and I couldn’t get back to sleep. And we didn’t go to bed till after 10, so that makes for less than 6 hours of slumber. It’s gonna be a long day!!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - it’s so difficult to be me!!! <pose of dramatic woe>
Not sure what’s on the agenda today. It’s going to be warm, but with a 50% chance of rain, I’m not sure I want to plan any outdoor activities. I would like to dump some plant food on my forsythia - maybe I can manage that at some point. And, of course, last night’s dishes need to be loaded into the dishwasher. I suppose I could clean something at some point. NAH! That way lies madness!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 62 Amurrkin out and waaaaaaaaaaaaaay foggy with a predicted high of 83 for the day. We have a dense fog advisory in effect until ten this mornin’. I have to foray into the south forty in about an hour from now. Rah. It’ll be dark and real foggy when I start out. ICK!
Ok, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas and alack, purtification for irk and the trek south must commence.
