SQUEEEEEE!!!!! New kitten!

Oh, sure, I need another cat like I need another hole in the head to match the multitude already there. Right?

But little Peanut is SO FRICKIN ADORABLE!!! Right? Why, just look at this face!

He’s only six weeks old, so he won’t be coming home right away from the Ipswich shelter. He needs to grow to over two pounds so he can be neutered, then have another week to recover, so it will be another three weeks or so before he can be released to me. I visited the shelter yesterday and today, to make his acquaintance (I had a request in for an orange tiger kitten), and shot some pix, natch. Yes, of course there’s a Webshots album! Here ya go.

It’s useless to try to talk me out of it. I’ve already named him – Peanut. He’s about the same tone of cream-orange as Squash. He has little dabs of color on his white paws, as if he’d been playing in a mud puddle. He likes to be held on his back and have his round little tummy rubbed.

Yay! New kitty!
Peanut is a great name, for now. What happens when he grows to be a 15 pound alpha cat?

Then he’ll be MR. Peanut!

Awwww! Toooo cute!
I call my Abby “Peanut”, but that’s just cuz she’s teensy for a 6 yr. old cat.

Your Peanut is cute! But, Ms. Pumpkin, did you know my Squash has a brother, whose name is…?

I am jealous. I want a kitten. And just for the thought I am getting dirty looks from my pride…

Peanut is a darlin’ boy!

Hee! Just to continue on this silliness, Dunkin is more commonly known as Punkin.

Just the one? Won’t his li’l buddies be lonely when he leaves? Don’t you need a couple of gray tabbies with white mittens in the mix?

OK, maybe not.

Anyway…SQUEEEEEEE! What a cutie!

Well, they’d mess up my current color scheme of tuxedoed and gloved orange tiger boys (five) and solid black girls (two). Peanut will actually even things out nicely, since Eddy, Teddy and Freddy are all a deep rich red orange, while Squash and Pumpkin are cream dilute orange.

And anyway, all the other kittens have already been spoken for.

ditto. cute kitten overload.

where’s mine? ::looking around for Speck, who’s never underfoot when she’s needed:::
