I need a Cochrane hat, but not the cheap tourist one.
Captain Kelsey Grammer is back!
While Boimler put like two drops and was dying!
I snapped a picture of that scene and sent it to a friend. He’s Mariner. I’m Boimler.
I thought it was a decent episode, although I sometimes feel it’s kind of hokey to have one season end on a big cliffhanger and then resolve it in the very first episode of the next season.
Yeah, very un-Trek.
I appreciated that they returned to the basic joke of the series,
The Lower Deckers really have no idea what is going on with senior staff. Everything worked out despite their shenanigans.
(I admit to tearing up a little at Magic Carpet Ride.)
Creator Mike McMahan explained in The Ready Room that with so few episodes in a season they didn’t want to waste time getting the Captain back.
Yes, complete with exposition about the extremely dramatic events that happened somewhere else entirely.
And nice to hear Mr Cromwell again.
I lost my shit when I saw the “Thirst Contact” drink stand. And of course the statue, right where Geordi said it would be.
Today I learned that if a Klingon rips your arm off and beats you to death with it, it is not an honorable death because you have died by your own hand.
I also learned that Martok has a sense of humor.
The season 3 premier is available on youtube (some ads (and some are skippable) but less than broadcast TV). Liked Bradward being oblivious to flirting, the theme park, and lots more.

Happy Star Trek Day to all. 56 years ago Star Trek premiered.
Paramount+ is having some sort of special day for it.
In honor of this I have added a new tag. paramount-star-trek
New episode of Lower Decks was fun. I feel like the storylines are improving and they’re keeping up the fun.
2 Cali-class ships working on an away mission together. What can go wrong.
The title of the episode “Mining the Mind’s Mines” made me laugh for a full minute.
“My 7th grade geology teacher! What are you doing in space? And wearing a revealing toga?”
I know Loc-Nar when I see one.
I had the same thought.
And how cool was it to see Leah Brahms again, even if only in horny dream form?
Same here. I kept telling them, Rule #1 of Loc-Nars is, don’t mess with Loc-Nars!
