Toz of the Dove was the first named Edosian on Star Trek since Arex in The Animated Series.
Well, she is only the third of her species we have met.
Another great episode. You’d think the “just keep circling” joke would fall flat since they already did this gag with the Cerritos pulling out of the shipyard, but I still laughed.
It was nice to see Kira and Quark again. Of course Quark would rather be in prison than poor.
Has anyone else noticed the battle scene in the credits changes each season? I knew the Crystalline Entity was new this season, so I looked back. Season 1 had just the Borg Cubes and season 2 added the other ships (Pakled? I suck at ship identification). Does that mean possibly maybe a Crystalline Entity this time around?
That’s nothing compared to the addition of the Great Koala in background of the “ship traces Starfleet symbol” intro.
Oh good, you see it too. I thought I must be imagining that.
Sleeping in the halls may be canon - I think they show a shot of hallway bunks (and people falling out of them) in The Undiscovered Country, when the Excelsior runs into the shockwave from Praxis.
The first raisin-girl that flirts with Boimler is the Sun-Maid Raisins mascot.
I am absolutely floored that they got the original actors to voice Quark, Kira, and Morn.
Armin Shimmerman said on Twitter he even had to wear the teeth to get the voice right which I think is hilarious.
I’m not. It’s ludicrously easy money and I have to imagine reprising the roles in a low-key environment and without all the makeup was a real treat.
I think that was just an excuse to joke about Morn having a voice actor.
Oh, well. Color me whooshed.
I was never a huge DS9 watcher so this one didn’t land for me as well, though I still enjoyed it. It’s interesting how we’ve had quite a bit of Rutherford backstory and now we’re getting a peek into Tendi’s. Remarkable to think it’s taken three seasons to get here, but I think it shows how much life is left in this series and how much character depth is still there to explore if they can keep the laughs coming. And watching Tendi do a 180 and become a little ass-kicker was pretty funny to me.
It wasn’t my favourite of this season either (for the same reason). I liked Adam Pally as the Ohioan Orion, though.
You must have missed the rom ulan episode where she was the cleaner.
Of course part of the joke was that none of us remember it. She redacted all the spots that she likely was kick ass!
There was also the episode where Tendi and Mariner are retrieving the doctor’s ‘cultural artifact’ and we found out she has a reputation and a badass pirate name which I don’t remember.
