Maybe it’s the seventh year and he’s shacked up with some Romulan babe in a Dacha on the Greater Romulan Desert.

To those of you who are upset that Janeway was promoted to admiral before Picard: Rememebr, in the the Star Trek universe, being a captain is BETTER than being an admiral.
A capatin gets excitement, adventure, and really wild things. An admiral gets paperwork.

Maybe this should be in another thread, but I would like to see some of the ST:V characters get a second chance. Some, not all, like Seven of Nine. I thought she was the most interesting one of them all, and more human than the rest of the crew. Harry Kim became the most mature by the end.
If Nemesis is the last TNG movie, then a DS9 movie should definately be next, with a few of the good Voyager characters. Very few.
I don’t want to see the franchise leave when it is so successful and likely to go on as long as James Bond.
Well, as a consolation prize, there is the fact that Shinzon is a (flawed) clone of Picard…
I’d like to see some Voyager characters all get demoted to Ensign, and be given red (or mustard) shirts, and assigned to a DS9 away team. “Colonel Kira… I found something… AHHHHH!”
Why this vehemet hatred usually reserved (deservedly) for Wesley Crusher? Why my spell checker?
Sure, they really screwed up Chakotay’s character, but does Janeway remind you of your Mother or what?
Every single Voyager character was a whiny (except for Paris), useless joke. Janeway didn’t lead, she whined, and fretted, and then usually made the wrong decision. Every episode of that series was a humiliation. They ruined the Q, ruined the Borg, and never had anything approaching decent continuity. The last episode of Voyager, which had NO DENOUMENT, was so riddled with paradozes and inane “moralizing” that it rivals “Spock’s Brain” as the worst episdoe of any Trek series. Ever. Down there with the ep of TNG where Riker got bitten by a tree and forced us to endure a bunch of Season 1 clips.
No, no, no! We gotta keep the Doctor, he’s already popular enough he made it into one movie! And i wouldn’t mind more Chakotay, as he had actual potential. But Harry Kim must die!!!
oh, and carnivorousplant? here’s a synopsis of the Enterprise season 2 premeire (or at least part of it) and if you read far enough, you’ll see why i’ll be watching!!! spoilers!TrekToday - First Details On 'Shockwave II'
You know I rather liked both Tuvok and Seven of Nine (Really for her character… Honestly! Damn it stop smirking!!) I thought both actors were quite good at portraying caharcters of limited emotional appeal. Too bad they weren’t given anything really decent to do!
Oh yeah and I’m hoping for a DS9 movie that says the last episode was just a dream and the war was still on. Yeah that’s it!
So she did remind you of your Mother…
I’m sorry, it’s a joke, the devil made me do it.
Sorry.
Really.
Honest.
hi all! I hope their is a ds9 movie too and I hope a couple voy
folks show up,mainly harry and tom, maybe a holovid scene
with barclay and geordi???
and kill that whiney holo doc!!!

ps bring back capt sulu!!
I don’t get the hostility toward Voyager. I like watching it as much as any of the other series.
Opalcat: I think it’s a woman-in-authority thing.
Now they will throw things at me.
They really did ignore the Chakotay character. There was a lot of possibility with he and Janeway. The other characters developed over the series, but he kind of got stuck somewhere. I think Scorpion the episode that introduced 7 of 9 was one of the best in that the conflict and resolution with Janeway and Chakotay was a major part of the story.
They did have crummy eps, too, like the one where Janeway and Tom travel at warp 10 and turn into lizard things and spawn.
And Neelix’ feet were a horror in themselves.
Come on, the Doctor was like the best character on Voyager.
My EXIT WINDOWS wave is the Doctor: “Doesn’t anyone know to turn the program off when they leave?”
hi all! for voy, they kept screwimg with the charachters!
first they got rid of kes,the ridicoulos holodoc being “way”
to humanthen, the seven and chokotay thing, tho I liked
chockotay and janeway better, the ending was the worse
thing possible, they didnt need 2 hours of that, and wesly crusher
on voyager? ,naw, I couldnt do that, even to wes!

rdky2000, did you bring enough for everybody?
If I remember correctly, the DS9 finale left enough intentionally loose ends to spin off several entire series, much less a couple of movies. I’m surprised they haven’t done a DS9 film already.
My problem with the few Voyager episodes I caught wasn’t that there was a “women in authority,” it’s that they portrayed the “women in authority” as a loose cannon who made awful decisions.
The other thing that drove me nuts was the incredibly high ratio of techno-babble. “Gee,” say the writers, “we’ve really written ourselves into a corner. I guess we’ll have to invent another new particle or field or re-modulate something. That ought to do the trick!”
BTW, I have it on good authority that there is a Voyager drinking game. You have to drink every time you hear the words “some kind of” or “some sort of” and chug everytime you hear the word “remodulate.”
They you go. They won’t, darn it.
Like what? One of the best episodes was “Scorpion” abouth the arguement with Chakotay over a decison and his side being right.
They did this in “Devil in the Dark” and “Obsession” except that Kirk was always right. Hmmm…a male white guy…Maybe it started a trend. ^:)^
I have to agree.
Some writer changes were probably the worst problem; the Janeway vs. Chakotay thing and too damn much time spent of 7 of 9.
I didn’t mean to completely change the subject from the ST:N trailer to new movies. I was just musing. That said, I hope this is the last post about a new movie.
I realize that every Voyager episode after the first season was exactly the same, except Scorpion, which was great. I just wanted some of the Voyager characters given another chance at being the great characters they should have been. I have never seen the final episode of DS9, so I don’t know about the hangups and loose ends. It was a great show that deserves a movie.
Please keep going on about the trailer.
