Star Trek Picard Review

Funnily enough, Lea Thompson directed episode 3 and I think 4.

I give them credit for having the balls not to do a Calvin Klein joke.

A Borg Queen with a sense of humor (“Legs!”) and an open lust for assumilation is the most frightening version I have yet seen.

(My vote for the Watcher is a small black cat, formerly named Isis.)

Another prospect that has occurred to me is “The Guardian of Forever” in an ambulatory form.

By the way…much like ***** ***** in Fall Guy doing a “WHAT THE SHIT?”

I assume Ron Moore did the same thing when he saw the Federation Fleet being ‘hacked’ in episode one.

Her first appearance was in Star Trek: First Contact. In that movie she grew a patch of skin that she sewed onto Data just so she could blow on it. Not even joking, it happened. So in answer to your question, yeah.

This is the Borg Queen’s entrance in First Contact. Definitely a flair for the dramatic.

I think it would have to be Kelvin Klein…

We need a thumbs up button and a ‘boooo’ button

Did they crash land in Picard’s family home in 2024? Whats going on in Burgundy these days?

That is where they appeared to ‘land’ - you’d think there would be a family legend about it.

Remember this is an alternative past.

No - this is the correct past - its an alternate future (assuming they don’t fix the anachronism(s)).

Oh GAWD…dont tell me that Picards mother gets assimilated through some 2024 predestination paradox??

ex: In 2024 Picard puts the Borg Queen in some kind of suspended animation to awaken in her own time…but Picards mother discovers it and not willing to stay in an abusive relationship anymore…she lets herself be assimilated.

No. The future Borg Queen knew the “look up” phrase from the memories of Locutus.

Im GUESSING Picard knew the right choice to make when he self-destructed, but he made the wrong choice out of fear/ lack of faith.

Seems pretty obvious to me that Picard will do the nasty in the pasty with his own grandma which means the Borg Queen will turn out to be Fry.

PLOT TWISTS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY! /Morbo

< checks face >

Oh shit - I have a goatee.

Yet.

Already seen in ST:Discovery.

So I’m reading this thread and I must have missed something big… why do people think the Borg Queen is Picard’s mother?

Law of Conservation of Characters.

A character in a mask is almost certainly someone we’ve seen before, and it being Jean-Luc’s mother is just the kind of “twist” that show’s creators would find tremendously clever.

But the masked Borg Queen calls him “Picard”. Wouldn’t she instead of said Jean-Luc if she was his mother? It’s possible, but I don’t think it’s such a slam dunk that people are saying.
