As far as I know he’s only in DC, but he has led the DEO, which has roughly the same functions.
Yeah, I missed the third name too. I thought it was something like Carthact.
Fortunately this article All 5 DC Characters Introduced In Stargirl S3’s Infinity Inc. Explained explains: the last name was Carcharo
They mentioned another character by name, too–Kritter! (Showed him, too–he was the Golden Retriever with Tao Jones.) I was wrong that he was the one who was observing the heroes, but at least he’s there.
Cancelled. Fuckin’ hell. I’m sure Superman & Lois (currently in production for their next season) is next on the chopping block.
Damn, that’s a shame.
Discovery CEO, you’re an ass.
Interesting info:
Historically, shows such as Riverdale , All American , Arrow and Supernatural have focused on viewers in their teens through their 30s. The reality, though, is that the average CW viewer is 58 years old.
I’m not quite 58, but a lot closer to that than 30… I liked (and sometimes really liked) most of the CW shows and its sad that they going away for even more “unscripted” stuff.

I think we just have to come to terms with the DC television universe having had a pretty good run, with up to four or five themed shows per week at one point. Warner/Discovery is the masked killer in a horror movie and no media property they own is safe.
I was enjoying Stargirl, but oh well. I’m guessing the final episodes were already produced so another forever-unresolved cliffhanger?
According to the article, production were informed about the incipient cancellation so the they were able to some sort of closure:
“Stargirl has always held a special place in my heart for many reasons,” [Geoff] Johns said. “With all the brewing changes at the network, we were aware this was possibly the last season, so we wrote with that in mind and have delivered what I believe to be the best season of Stargirl yet, with complete creative closure…"
Even after the show ends, Stargirl will make at least one more appearance, on a crossover with Titans sometime next year.
Yeah, I read about that in an article after posting that. Glad to hear this season will have a proper resolution since it was fully anticipated.

I don’t understand their thinking. It hasn’t sounded like they are trying to change their demographic. What they have been airing has already attracted an audience with an average age of 58. They think they can retain the same viewers with cheaper-to-produce junk, therefore making more money? I can’t imagine viewership would increase with crappier programming.
Nexstar Media Group currently owns The CW, I think, not Discovery. David Zaslav controls the production company that makes Stargirl, but Nextstar decided they aren’t going to air it any more. For all I know, Warner Bros. Discovery might be able to move Stargirl or Superman & Lois to HBOMax if they want to save those shows.
Thanks for that, I got confused.
S03E09 Frenemies - Chapter Nine: The Monsters
CONFRONTING THE TRUTH - After a recent experience renews Courtney’s confidence, she sets out to make amends with those around her. Jakeem puts his foot down after Mike shares his latest plan. Finally, Beth makes a major discovery that leads to a terrifying battle no one saw coming.
A Nathaniel Dusk movie was playing at the town cinema. Nathaniel Dusk was a DC comic set in the 1930s with the titular character being a hard-boiled detective. Rather fitting for a season dedicated to investigating a murder.
So who were the monsters in the episode? It was the JSA, wasn’t it? From the Mahkents’ point of view, they were suddenly attacked by the group responsible for killing their son/father. Regardless, that fight was a banger. Plus Beth discovered her suit’s combat mode. Is she going to team up with Artemis for some training?
The storyline with Jakeem and Mike better be going somewhere. So far they’ve accomplished absolutely nothing other than wasting Thunderbolt wishes.
I had been idly wondering why Mike calls Pat, “Pat” - but the background we got this episode provides a reasonable answer.
Ultrahumanite! Woo!
Ok, Courtney, if you must have a talk with Cameron about his father, etc., how about not having it inside the house with his grandparents?
In the trailer, Cameron is pushing to know exactly who killed his dad. There’s no way she’s going to say it’s Mike. I’m wondering if Sylvester will show up and claim to have done it. Or if Cindy tries to commit suicide by ice by claiming it was her. Or if Mike shows up and tells the truth. Or if Pat decides to claim it was him. There could be a “I’m Spartacus” type thing here with everyone claiming they did it. If Cameron doesn’t get an answer he believes, he’s going to assume it was Rick.
I’m wondering how long before the other shoe drops about the art teacher.
S03E10 Frenemies - Chapter Ten: The Killer
THE AFTERMATH - Courtney and the team regroup after a dramatic confrontation leaves battle lines clearly drawn. A terrifying discovery made by Mike and Jakeem forces Pat and Sylvester to go on high alert. Finally, Paula and Larry take matters into their own hands to make things right.
Shit, there go the most supportive in all of Nebraska. How did Icicle come back anyway? From the location of his secret lair, I’m going to guess that his shattered pieces melted, drained into the sewer, and somehow reconstituted together, where he’s been hiding ever since. How that happened is the question. Maybe the Ultra-Humanite had something to do with it, but I rather think that the albino gorilla is actually a red herring.
What, like communism? Comic books really make us say and type the oddest things, don’t they?
UH probably killed the Gambler and is responsible for the cameras, but it looks like he’s working with refrozen Icicle; whatever he is, he’s not a complete misdirection
I like how so many characters in the show are doing their best to be better, even if they can’t quite pull it off. I didn’t figure the Crocks for being sincere back at the beginning of the season, or expect Grandma Cold to have any hint of a conscience.
