S03E05 Chapter Five: The Thief
SECRETS AND LIES - As Courtney continues to secretly help Cameron, the team notices she’s pulling away from her role as the JSA leader. Mike and Jakeem approach Cindy with a proposition. Finally, Yolanda’s decision to follow her intuition leads her to make a shocking discovery.
By showing us Cindy standing over the Gambler with her shiv out, the show wants us to believe that killed the Gambler, but I don’t buy it. My take: She went to see him to get information about her father’s secret labs, but found him already dead. Seeing his laptop, she seized the opportunity and took it.
My guess on the real killer is either Cameron or his creepy grandparents. Or maybe it really is Sylvester after all.
I agree about the opening shot of Cindy. She found him dead and went into defensive mode.
S03E06 Chapter Six: The Betrayal
CLASHING FRENEMIES - After learning that Courtney has been spending time with Cameron, Pat and Barbara go on a recon mission to see if the Mahkents pose a threat. Meanwhile, Sylvester steps in to fill the void left by Courtney, and tensions between Yolanda and Cindy reach new heights.
OK, so it probably wasn’t any of the Mahkents since they were under surveillance by the growling Unsub. I still have my eye on the grandparents, though, especially that sourpuss of a grandma.
So who could have done the dirty deed? I’m still hoping that it’s someone that we’ve already seen. The list of possible suspects is getting pretty short though. Maybe it’s that waitress from the diner. She’s appeared in five out of six episodes so far this season.
The jigsaw puzzle showed a skull, which suggested “Mr. Bones” as the killer/spy.
The grandfolks are independently evil, without any allegiance outside of the family. Why serve lutefisk at all if you’re not going to poison it…
If it is the waitress, she isn’t just the waitress, she’s someone in disguise. Or maybe she’s the Gambler’s daughter. Do we know the waitress’ name?
I agree, the spy is Mr. Bones. However, who set up the cameras? In the comics, he had no stealth abilities.
I had to look up who Mr Bones was. That was the skull-headed guy that the creepy asylum nurse was talking to (both the asylum and the nurse were creepy) at the end of Season 2. If so maybe we’ll see Green Lantern again.
S03E07 Chapter Seven: Infinity Inc. Part One
OPERATION BLACKOUT BOMB - After Beth makes a major discovery on The Gambler’s laptop, the team moves forward with a risky plan that effects the entire town of Blue Valley. Elsewhere, Jennie (guest star Ysa Penarejo) returns to the fold seeking help from Courtney.
Is Jennie the Green Lantern?

The Helix Institute is far more disturbing than what was shown to us last season. Were they really keeping Todd there for six months? And to what end?
Rick is already feeling the effects of too much Hour Power (or whatever the heck it’s called). Hopefully Beth can talk him down.
Yeah - one of those pillars he punched looked load-bearing.
So I’m guessing Helix used Todd’s powers to post the cameras.
When Yolanda finds out Courtney and Pat are missing, will she blame Cindy Berman or the Mahkents? I’m thinking Rick (in his current condition) will definitely blame Cameron. Maybe he’ll figure Pat caught Courtney and Icicle, Jr…together…in the house and the latter killed him, and he froze Courtney and sneaked her out. Of course, this is ridiculous, but Rick is going off the rails. I think he’ll go off to confront the Mahkents.
Unless…the Crocks waltz in right then. Then he’ll suspect/attack them. Which is another point. The JSA was upset with Courtney because of her relationship with Icicle, Jr. Do they know how often the Crocks are hanging out with Barbara and Pat?

S03E08 Chapter Eight: Infinity Inc. Part Two
DEMONS FROM THE PAST - Desperate to avert a major crisis on their hands, Courtney attempts to help a friend navigate their powers. Elsewhere, Pat and The Shade (guest star Jonathan Cake) are forced to face their worst fears.
It was weird hearing Goliath (Keith David) as the voice of Mr Bones.

That’s who that voice was! Thanks. But I really wish they’d use unknowns for voiceovers/characters. I know Keith-David-not-David-Keith from Community (he stepped in after Chevy Chase left, and did a great job).
Now, in the real world … (ha, I mean comic books) … wasn’t Mr. Bones a director of S.H.I.E.L.D. at one point?
So Helix are good guys and Mr Bones just wants to help powered individuals? I’m not sure I really buy that. I’ll note that while Nurse Rice denied that they were spying on the JSA, Mr Bones was silent on the matter.
At the Helix Institute, I saw Penny Dreadful and Tao Jones on a couple of doors, and they even showed those characters. There was a third name that I didn’t catch and neither was the characters shown.
He’ll always be Capt Anderson to me.
