I also wonder why people are lobbing accusations of bullying at me. As I’ve said before, I am not picking on START; I am stating that his posts rub me and others the wrong way. That is not bullying; it’s what people do in the Pit. And, I think a lot of people are overlooking the fact that what he describes in many of his OPs is bullying. If he’s brave enough to harrass people IRL, he should be brave enough to withstand a Pitting.

If he is a teenage boy, he’s a dreadfully unpleasant one, who doesn’t learn from his mistakes and goes on using and abusing people. If he isn’t, he’s a shit-stirrer who’s preyed on the goodwill of people here, no doubt while feeling vastly amused at how stupid Dopers are here to be taken in by him. I vote phony, but I detested him even before I decided he was a chain-yanker.

As for me, when I read START’s insanely detailed play-by-play of his alleged brother’s even more alleged death, I knew he was playing us. Your standard case of Munchausen by Proxy Server.

I had to refrain from participating in his threads, and then stop reading them altogether, because the guy just set off my bullshit meter. The way he described himself, he is a thoroughly unpleasant person. I thought it was disgraceful the way he could set you guys to arguing in a thread about him where he never even showed up again, if at all. He was playing us, and I have reason to doubt the veracity of much of what I read. You gotta be a really good liar not to fuck up. And, well, he fucked up. Once again, my bullshit meter was right. Good riddance.
He’s banned now, so I’m closing this thread.
