From what I heard, Cowher has already announced Stewart as the starter in next week’s game.
At least let Maddox play until he chokes! We already know that Kordell can choke.

I have one word for you whiners:
Viqueens.
Ha!
I am a Browns fan. The Browns have never even been IN a Super Bowl, much less won one. I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Remember the 70s? “One for the Thumb”? The heartless, mirthless laughter of the Steelers fans in those dark days of the Browns (the days are not any brighter, I might add…)
I have no pity for you now.
Now wait a minute, Winnowill! We felt genuinely sorry for you when Modell did his version of the quarterback (and rest of the team) sneak. That’s why we hate the Ravens almost as much as you do.
Steelerphan, just tell yourself the same thing I do – you could be a Bungals fan.
CJ
Living in Youngstown is like living on the Potomac during the Civil War- you get shit from people no matter what side you’re on.
I was never asking for pity- there is none in the NFL. I also cannot believe Stewart is scheduled to start Sunday against New Orleans. They’ll have no pity for him.
I’d say that the Ravens look as bad as the Bungles, but I’m watching the game now and that 108 yard run and Ray Lewis’ play this first half make them seem not as pathetic. I’m looking forward to the 27th.
…and the opening kickoff was almost returned for a TD. Hmm, this must be the Ravens’ night…
pkbites:
At least the stadium is also good for hosting All-Star games :D:D:D
(ducking and running)
Good news Steelerphan!
quote:
Clearly upset- he has had 5 good games in three years while pulling down the team (and a ton of cap room due to a ill advised contract extension).
Go Tommy GO!
ps. Umm coach-- give the bus the damn ball please.
I hate to say this, but I think Bettis’ time as the dominant element in the Steelers offense may be over.
Teams are keying on Bettis, 8 people in the box almost always stops him.
He is not hitting the hole with the speed to match conventional defenses.
With Plaxico Burress, Hines Ward, Antwaan Randle El, and Terance Mathis (sp?) in the lineup the Steelers have a high-powered offense just waiting for a quarterback who can pass effectively. Maddox can do this, as can Charlie Batch. A running back in this formation is primarily a pass blocker, secondarily an outlet reciever.
Getting 2 yards or less in a cloud of dust leaves the team in third-and-long situations much too often. Something needs to be done.
This is a little departure from the original rant; obviously the Steelers will not be 0-16. The next game will be the real test- up to this week NO was a quality team. Being beaten by the Lions may have made tham madder.
One last message to the Steelers: FINISH GETTING YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR COLLECTIVE ASSES! It’s crunch time; you are making some good moves, Bill, but more needs to be done.
Oh yeah…The Randy Moss-hole Show
