I think I’ve just about ruined myself now; yesterday I went to the official SK website (http://www.stephenking.com ), and lo and behold, a prologue for The Wolves of Calla is available online (Dark Tower V); the current project date of publication is March 2003.
All I can say is that oooh boy, it’s definitely going to be a good book, and that IMHO most DT/SK fans are going to be appreciative of it, from what I saw in the prologue, at least. If you’d like to read it, it is available on the SK website, as listed above. I have started rooting about in my books, seeking out the older DT books that I have; what I don’t have any longer, I’m going to try to purchase from the used bookstore I frequent in my area. LOL So at least when DT V does come out (hopefully in March!), I’ll be all ready for it.
Actually, the website says Wolves of the Calla should be out in September of this year, Song of Susannah in November, and The Dark Tower in March 2004.
You got my hopes all up, man! But they’re still pretty up; thanks for the link.
ACK!! My apologies for mis-reading the information on the website. Don’t ask me how I confused March with September (nothing in common except being six months apart, right? - at myself!)
Now I am -really- “roont” (to quote from the DT V prologue. :D) All I can say is that I’m going to start re-reading the DT series, starting with volume I, and hopefully by the time the newest volume (DT V) -does- come out, I’ll be just about ready for it… hopefully.
