Still waiting for Spring in the MMP

Plant show was fun, they weren’t kidding about the boggy though. Without 4wd we would have needed rescuing, and we were there 10 minutes after opening time, as it was the second day. Other cars were already being towed out of the mud having got stuck trying to park.

Didn’t spend much on plants, I was good. Did get ice cream however, 'cos it was glorious sunshine, far nicer than the forecast said, so I lugged a coat all the way round.

C’mon babby!

Daughter says nothing is happening. It was apparently a false alarm. Her next Dr visit is Weds and technically, her due date is Thurs. She’s ready to be done with this pregnancy thing.

Meanwhile, every time one of our phones ring, we jump.

I eat frozen dinners at work, and the price of carrots must be at an all time low. “Broccoli with carrots” is a pile of carrots and two tiny pieces of broccoli. “Pot Roast” is 25% carrots.

Moomm first babies are often late. I know waiting is hard. :frowning:

**Sunny **- I’m only antsy because last week her Doc said “Any time now” - plus she was having some cramping and the baby dropped really low. Then she sat there. One thing we know for sure, if she hasn’t appeared by the 19th, the doc is going to induce. So a week anna half at most.

**Flytrap **- our pot roast had a pound anna half of carrots because **FCD **lurves carrots cooked with a pot roast. It was very yum, and we’ve got tons of leftovers.

I think I’m going to assume the afghan position for the rest of the evening. It’s been a good, if babyless, weekend. Back to the grind tomorrow.

I did the Season ticket member paint the ice thing, then packed away all my tailgating stuff till next season.:frowning: Making poke chops with Penzy’s Bavarian seasoning and sweet **N.O.T.**s.

Got home from work to learn a fellow re-enactor I worked with a lot has died. He went from home to the ICU and passed this afternoon. I feel bad but he was one of those folks so darn nice that I am not all that worried about him; more all of us left behind. He has his room beyond doubt — with a tomahawk block and 100 yard range all built in next to the campfire. Some day I hope to visit him yet again.

On other news dinner was stuffed peppers and I’m doubling tomorrow.

doggio, we’re having a catfish toss again this year at irk in honor of the Preds making the playoffs. My you all do as well next season.

I heathenated today and had a nice lunch at Amerigos https://amerigo.net/ . I’m just having some yogurt later as I’m stuffed. A nap happened when I got home and tonight is chilling and farting around in the studio.

Well, we had sun and temperature in the 50’s, which was a major improvement over the past two days. Ate out and then browsed around Barnes and Noble for awhile, then came home to watch the Masters (I’m not a golfer but I watch the Final Rounds of the Masters and the British Open every year).

Anyone else ever had to wait for an insurance company check (home insurance)? It’s been about a month since I submitted the paperwork, and I haven’t heard a peep; the website for the company shows the status is “Open”; just wondering why it’s taking so long.

Dinner has been consumed and I await the coming week.

Why? It’s playoff time. Ohhhhh, that’s why. :o
I was in sequined attire available for tryon earlier; even flashier than Swampy’s gold thong.  <– due to how flashy it was.
HA! The race I did yesterday, was the same weekend last year. Last year it was 4/8/17 & this year it was 4/7/18; just a transposition away.

On edit
Just loaded the thread and I missed five hours.

dammit

Do we leave this week’s MMP on that note?
Did no one score on after Easter chocolate?
I made Mei Fun tonight. We agree it needs to be more flavorful.

I’m sorry about your friend, but I know how you feel. I felt the same way when my grandfather passed. He was such a good man. The day he died he was helping the widow next door clean her gutters when he had his heart attack. I was sad that he was gone, but I knew he was just fine. No doubt at all.

What a good way to go. I want to go in my sleep at, oh, 110, but to be helping other people.
Alfred, Lord Tennyson’s Ulysses comes to mind: “To rust unburnished, not to shine in use.”
