Still waiting for Spring in the MMP

OK, we all know swampy’s preferred gussied-up attire is a sequinned tube top and gold lamé hot pants. What makes you think he’d risk any other look for a special occasion?? Get real!

OK, back to work with me. Productivity ensues!

If there is any sort of celebration of swampy and OYKW, we best be invited. We will bring our own coasters.

nightshadea, I’m sorry about your kitty. They leave such a hole in our hearts.

Any age is. I’m a dog person through and through but there is something with felines that you feel instantly adopted sometimes. And if you give one a couple years its almost like a child or sibling. :frowning:

ugh… surprise mini vacation continues. Just spoke with the guy who’s putting my replacement computer back together and he’s having trouble with a certain German enterprise software package. I’m such a sap for thinking it would go easily.

The ants used to think so.
:dubious:

If Swampy and OYKW got hitched, I’d for sure want to be there. Not just to witness the ocasion and eat cheese straws, but to enjoy the looks on the faces of the Georgia contingent of my fundie family when I tell them I’m going to a gay wedding!:eek::eek::eek::eek:  :eek::eek::eek:

Howdy. Have not read but will. Irking of course. I just did something I have never done in 15 years. We closed the shop so I can catch up the End of Month. I just can’t do clerk duties and managerial duties. We are so busy and I only have the one clerk who is at the end of patience.

Blurf.

Butters, not surprised and I recall not being able to get any contracting done by Procurement at the end of the fiscal year; since Government money runs out at the end of the fiscal year they had to do all the accounting and get the next years’ contracts in order. No time for anything else. Just do what ya gotta do.

FCM, has engineer-unit returned to his desk yet?

Slow day today, but it has hit 80F (haven’t seen that number since October) and girl’s soccer practice will be at 5:30, so I need to get dressed for the occasion.

An oracle could have helped you determine that.

I’ve got a mini vacation myself.

Shouldn’t that video have been set to the Pink Panther theme?

We supped early cause OYKW has a meetin’ to go to this evenin’, poor thing. Of course what I said to him was, “better thee than me.” So glad I do not have irk related evenin’ stuff to deal with anymore! Not only did I do laundry today, but I also ironed shirts! Go Me!

If’n we do get hitched up, OYKW and I will register at all the appropriate places such as Dollar General, Big Lots (if’n there’s one where any of y’all live might be called Odd Lots), Walgreen’s and Ferd’s. We’d register at :eek:Wally*World:eek: and Family Dollar but we’re not that high falutin’.

**MetalMouse **- Baby Engineer didn’t come in today. Perhaps I misunderstood him - maybe they were getting back from the Keys today and he’ll be in work tomorrow. We shall see.

Hamburger Helper Stroganoff has been ingested. Dishwasher is finishing its load.

**FCD **has figured out how to get our granddaugther to appear. He told our daughter to hold a donut between her knees, and when the baby reaches for it, just grab her arm and yank her out!! GENIUS!!!

Yeah, I married a crazy person.

We’ve got a Big Lots here in Topeka!

And c’mon, no matter how low key a hitchup would be, there has to be a cake!

I just opened a letter from my church and now I am bummed. Our cathdral dean will be retiring at Pentecost. He’s been here for seventeen years. I guess he had planned to retire a couple years ago but the vestry encouraged him to stay until the now completed building project was finished. We don’t have a bishop yet either, the Diocesan committee is still working on that.

I really really like Dean Lipscomb. He got here less than a year after I joined the congregation. He’s been great for the congregation. Last year we mourned with him when his wife died of cancer, she was only sixty years old, younger than me.:frowning:
**
nightshadea**, I’m so sorry for your kitty. I wish I knew if there really is a rainbow bridge. God couldn’t be that mean, to deny loving pets a chance like that, could He? I’ll think of you and give my Atilla extra loving tinight.

I grilled Mrs. Plant’s (v.3.0) chicken and my flat iron while it hailed.
I made potato latkes from a mix and asparagus.

I feel sick and miserable. :frowning: Also remorseful.

I’m not entirely sure why I thought eating a whole greasy pizza, including the crust, was a good idea. It was delicious at the time, but still.

I feel like a seagull who’s eaten too much pepperoni.

{{{nightshade}}} I’m sorry about your kitty.

I would show up for swampy and OYKW nuptials. Shoot, I’d also check out the registry at Ferd’s for the gift and volunteer to be part of the music. (You have a volunteer baking the cake and one playing music. Is there a Mumper who does flowers? :stuck_out_tongue: )

I took tomorrow off tomorrow for a doctor’s appointment. When that’s done, I’ll head another 45 minutes north to get a catalytic converter put on my car. Toyota wanted $1100 to do it because they don’t do aftermarket units. The shop that they recommended wanted me to go to AutoZone to get the parts and would install them for $150 (parts from AutoZone would have come to ~$450). I dodn’t want to do business with someone who didn’t have a commercial account at auto parts stores (I have to pay retail, thank you and there’s something a bit shady about his finances if he doesn’t qualify for a commercial account). One of the guys I work with just replaced one on his Toyota at this shop for a very reasonable price. I called them and they gave me a $349 estimate. Shoot, even if it is a bit more, it still will save me a hunk o’change.

Home. I stayed until 1830 but wanted to get home before dark. I managed to get enough done that I don’t feel so harried. Still have a shit ton more to do. One of my new hires indocs tomorrow but I don’t know when she can start because of background checks. Even if she shows up tomorrow there is about a month of training before she will be ready.

My one clerk is off for two weeks starting Friday and that leaves just me. I can do it but nothing else will get done. I will be a mess but I can do it. I don’t like dealing with the public but can if I must.

My clerk’s MIL died and they are off to California to do a little service. They got almost a half mil inheritance and this lady does not have to irk but just wants something to do. Not me. If I didn’t have to irk a I would not.

Night all.

**Swamps wedding. **. I can do the flowers. So there :p:p

If we had a Spring wedding we could use all the dandelions growin’ in the back yahd.

I can help with the baking, or the music, or I can take pictures. I can also just show up and meet everyone. Whatever helps most.

I volunteer to make punch. Who can bring a punch bowl and Dixie cups?

Oy, don’t remind me about those days when I supported Oracle and SQL.

My new computer is functional. Gonna take a while to get used to Windows 10. Some internal sites open in Edge and some in Innernet Exploder. Not sure why we need two browsers or why they handle favorites in amazingly different ways.

Enough work talk… I’m on vacation now!
