I’ve got a concertina you could borrow, that any use? I can’t play it…
Also have the vile-din that I also can’t really play and a didgeridoo that I sort of can, if people want to mix things up a bit.

Da cave smells like ham, bean 'n N.O.T. soup. YUM! Some will be supped upon tonight and the rest will go into containers and into da freezer when it’s cooled down enough. I made a biiiiiiiiiiiiiig stock pot full of soup. Guess that will also be N.O.L. for the both of us tomorrow as well. I performed quality control a few minutes ago.
Finally heard back on my busted Suburban. The extended warranty folks, after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, finally agreed that their warranty did say it would pay for a busted transmission. They actually came out and looked at the Suburban and had the technician demonstrate that the transmission was very “dead, Jim”. It couldn’t be more dead really. We are getting a new transmission courtesy of the warranty. I’ve never bought an extended warranty for a car before. This time it paid to do it. I should have the car back Friday.
If my hubby comes to the nuptials, he can supply piano playing, if’n one is available, or trombone (he has several).
metalmouse I believe that 8-9 y.o. girls are famous for playing soccer in a pack. A friend of mine used to get upset about his daughters doing it, and then finally just decided it was cute and they would outgrow it.
Mooomm er, not to worry you or anything, but yes, babies are tiny, and you are not ready. They are little, loud, demanding stress bombs. They survive because we love them anyway. I understand it’s easier when it’s not actually yours.
They are like puppies, except that you can’t leave them in a box in the car.
If it wasn’t too big to bring on the plane, we’ve got an accordion in the upstairs closet you could use Mom. Neither one of us can play it.
We used to have a concertina too, but I think Wifey may have given it to one of the countless tiny sub-humans who occasionally infest our house.
I do have a ukelele, which I can’t play, and a chantor, (the business end of a bagpipe, for practicing) which I can’t play either. But we could have fun with those.
My wifey-assigned task for today is to find out about online defensive driving courses. Not 'cause either of us has gotten a ticket, but because we can get money off on our car insurance premium if we take one. So far I’ve discovered that there are lots of ‘companies’ offering online courses, but most of them don’t want to divulge their rates, for some reason. :dubious:
Right now I’m liking the AARP one. It’s $19.95 for members and $24.95 if your not, and AARP seems to think we’re members, even though we’re not. I don’t think. Maybe it’s a lifetime thing, or like a gang. If you’re ever in, you’re never out. I’ll need to see if I can find a membership card around here.
And you absolutely can’t give them away out in front of the supermarket.
Bummer.
I can play zills.
But as far as a wedding dancer, I think the couple would probably prefer Azad Khan

Glad your Suburban is covered Sunny.
It’s a shame you have to argue with warrenty company to get them to do their job.
My niece just went through that with a ‘new’ used car.
I remember when my son was born, I was afraid to pick him up because he was so tiny.
Has anyone noticed that **swampy **hasn’t invited anyone to share his so-far-theoretical special day? It’s starting to look as if he won’t have any choice in the matter.
Baby Engineer blamed our newest drafter for the eggs, and he’s trying to figure out where the 12th one is. It’s in a bowl on my kitchen counter. He’ll be here to critter sit when we head to Orlando. Wonder if he’ll notice and if he’ll figure it out… He implied that I was too lazy to pull a prank like that. Little smart ass!!!
Supper is pulled poke sammiches. Daughter sees her doc at 6 today - here’s hoping he tells her it’s just about time.
For the record, there have been too many Moandays this week.
Jack inna Box has discontinued their fish sandwich. Bastids!
And their tacos are meh.
I make goooooooooooooood soup. Just sayin’.
Sunny yay for the transmission warranty!
Sari just how many hours did you search for that?
That has been sitting in my bin waiting for an excuse to use it.
He is not stupid, Mom.
That’s even in my range swampy! With all of the instruments Mumpers play, we could do a Klezmer mashup of it.
I went for my 10K checkup this morning and things went pretty well (we’ll see what the labs say). Afterwards, I took the car to the muffler shop for the catalytic converter replacement. I took a nap when I got home and ordered a new printer to replace the one that crapped out on me this weekend. While I was at it, I upgraded to a wide format, wifi capable, sooper dooper dee luxe model. The ink will actually be cheaper with this one than with the cheapo one in the studio now.
Daughter may be in early stages of labor. Doc says it could progress any time now. Meanwhile, FIL is in the hospital - his BP shot way up, so now he’s getting all kinds of tests. He’s 88 and he’s had a lot of health issues. Just another little stressor…
Sari I am honored! I think…
We shall soon retire to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time. Methinks that will not be long as we’s tahrd!
Nitey Nite Y’all!
Worked, came home. It’s #WhiskeyWednesday.
You should have thought of that before you got pregnant.
{{{{FCM}}}}
Advice in retrospect.
And it should be “became pregnant”, you grammar vandal.
Again??? It just came back!!! (sniffle snivel)
As fast-food fish sandwiches go, definitely superior to other offerings.
I’d rate JitB chicken nuggets as “meh”. Adequate, but McD’s does those better.
Fish are friends, not food.
doggio, I think for Moooommm to be with child would require the whole package; shepards, mules, Three Wise Men (you, flytrap, and spidey?:eek::eek:), manger…
FCM, hang in there, getting both good and bad news, either one stressful, at the same time is not fun. Keep us informed.
Spent some more money on-line for goalie gloves for the kids and referee uniforms for me. Still under budget on the credit cards, however. Signed up to referee two games along with coaching the boys and girls, so my Saturday is full (there is also a 70% chance of rain, so my Saturday may also be soaking wet).
On to Thorsday!
