Yes, you were able to find a cite from 40 years ago. If you haven’t noticed, American culture has changed a bit since then - gay bars are no longer illegal, police do not raid them, etc. This besides the fact that the riots are not even remotely close to the same type situation as honor killings and stonings.

Yeah.

Your whole argument has been to conflate what some people did into a critique of the entire society. You definitely shouldn’t have said “culture”, that’s what’s wrong with your argument. Ideally you should have stuck to the guilty parties and do-nothing witnesses.
