yeah, i’m with mssmith here. i’m pretty surprised at some of the responses actually. i’d choose an ugly girl over any guy 100/100 times. i guess girls’ sexual bounds are a little more flexible that they’d be swayed to pick a hot chick over a gross guy? what about you, OP? would you choose a hot girl over a gross guy also?
I agree. However, I believe what the OP may be after is seeing if some of those “who think of themselves as 100% straight” are not, in actually, 100% straight.
I don’t understand this need for some gay dudes to act like every straight guy is secretly gay on some level.
Then again, I’ve been certified straight by the gay community on a number of occassions.

I’m straight; not going to have any attraction to any guy, ever. I’m open-minded enough to have explored it if I wanted to, but there is simply no “there” there. I’m not going to have sex with a woman I don’t find attractive, either.
I was under the impression that “want” has nothing to do with the hypothetical. Nor, for that matter, does having fun.

If so, they’re still barking up the wrong tree. A willingness to undergo open heart surgery to avoid death doesn’t mean you have an open heart surgery fetish, it just means you hate open heart surgery a little bit less than you hate dying.
Gay guys are always trotting out threads in which straight guys are given the opportunity to confess that they are not really straight, and if the straight guys will not admit to not being secretly willing to be gay, they claim the straight guys are lying (see Antinor’s response). I figure there is a persistent gay fantasy about turning straight guys on to the delights of homosexuality, and such threads are fantasy fuel for the gay guys who enjoy it.
That’s kinda the point, I think. Even with the death caveat, most guys are still not willing to sleep with the guy as long as there’s even the grossest female option. On the other hand, most women (so far) prefer to choose the pretty girl rather than the gross guy. They actually do seem to believe as you said, or my hypothesis above stands.
Why divide by gender unless this is the type of information the OP wanted? The only thing that makes me pause is the lack of options for gay men and lesbians, as it would be fun to know if it’s based on gender, gender preference, and/or sexuality.
I actually have (what I consider) an interesting hypothesis on all this, but I’m not sure it would make sense to state in this thread. I’ll just say it has to do with lesbians, homophobia, and penises. And if the OP doesn’t mind, I’ll need to make a corresponding thread for GLTQ people. (Sorry, Bs, but I’m pretty sure we know your answer.)

Making this hypothetical a life or death situation means sexual preference went out the window. Survival instinct would override sexual choice and the “gotcha” effect the OP seems to have been going for is moot.

I have no “turn the straight guy” fantasies and I didn’t say anyone was lying. I’ve met guys that would and do claim 100% straightness but I know it’s crap because ive had sex with them. A number when we were both kids. I still think these poll questions are rather dumb though.

I don’t have the slightest interest in any male, and saying it’s an “attractive” male is no more meaningful to me than saying it’s an attractive horse. I’m not attracted to dudes. It doesn’t matter what they look like. The best looking dude is still gross beyond words. I don’t know how women stand us.

There are plenty of beautiful women I look at longingly and think “I wish I could be more like her,” but none that make me think “I wish I could be with her.” So…annoying ugly guy it is.
