Strange ritual at the Possum Lodge on Red Green Show

On the Red Green Show, the lads gather at the Possum Lodge at the end of each episode. They all rise, cross their arms over their chests and mutter something that sounds like Latin. What is it, and what does it mean?

It’s followed by the brilliant Men’s Prayer:

I am a man,
But I can change,
If I have to,
I guess.

The Possum Lodge motto isn’t really Latin: “Quando Omni Flunkus, Moritati,” I think.

It means “When all else fails, play dead.”

So it’s not, “Don’t follow the balls when they make the street?”

Just fer a laff, here’s the Woman’s version.

You’re a man.
You will change
If I make you.
You bet.

Dead on.

I found a English -> Latin dictionary online. This statement completely in Latin would be something like “Quando Quidque Defit Ementior Mortis.”

Thanks, folks. I’ll write that down and duct tape it to the toolbox.

Being unfamiliar with Red Green except on the vague “I’ve heard of this show somewhere” level, I find their use of Latin deeply weird. Me like.

Quando and Omni are Latin, the rest is quasi-Latin gobbledygook.

I don’t know, pesch. By the looks of your house you seem to be the sort who actually FINISHES projects. Perhaps you wouldn’t get the humor, unless you like laughing at the rest of us. That lawn could make up for the nice paint job, though.

When I first saw the show, I misheard the prayer. I prefer it to the actual wording-

I am a man,
I will shave,
If I have to,
I guess.
