“Cutest couple in the class: Sarah Jessica Parker and hubby Matthew Broderick will team up for “Strangers With Candy: The Movie” – a feature version of the Comedy Central cult fave set in high school. (TV Guide)”
I didn’t even like the show, but this sure seems like a travesty to me.
Well, different strokes. I, for one, think that the show is absolutely brilliant. In fact, I’m hard pressed to come up with a show in the history of television (with the obvious exception of South Park) that has been more consistently edgy, pushing the boundary for what is in good taste. There are no sacred cows on this show, as they go after subjects as race, class, gender, and disabilities of all kinds.
Stephen Colbert as teacher: “Who doesn’t not want to avoid passing the exam?”
Most of the student raise hands with befuddled looks on there faces
Stephen Colbert: “All of you who raised your hands will fail as you requested.”
“I’m not adopted and I’m not an Indian. It’s just a coincidence that I have a love of gambling and booze and a knack for catching syphilis.”
Jerri Blank
You scared me for a second. I thought you meant SJP was going to be playing Jerri. This sounds like fun. It touched the same part of me that the Upright Citizens Brigade did. All the wrong places in all the right ways.
