Stump me with your avatarl

Have at it.

Checking in.

So @Idle_Thoughts let me figure out your avatar.

I, I, I…sorry, stutterer here

:eye:

Try this.

Go for mine.

It’s a Statue of Liberty with a long tongue.

More specific than that I couldn’t tell you, if I had to guess I would guess something from the TV show The strain?

Unfortunately you will probably get the most vague answer I have so far, I know it’s a drawing of a person with glasses. Beyond that, I don’t know.

I used to have a sandwich as my avatar but some reason it got taken down.

No idea and I know I’m going to be wrong here but I will guess a characture of John Lennon doing his character from the Sergeant Pepper’s lonely Heart club band album

A QR code? I hope you’re not going to ask me what specific code it is.

Its actually my namesake, Buck Godot Zapgun for hire. The eponymous lead of a series of comics and graphic novels by the talented cartoonist Phil Foglio.

It says, literally, I love QR Codes.

Have at it.

Let’s see if you can get mine.

Reread the OP. You are the specific person mentioned in it, I mean not by name, but the one that I did not want to have reply to this because I have no fucking idea what the avatar is of. I have been looking at yours for the last 2 days and yours is the one that inspired me to make this topic actually. It gave me the idea for it…simply because yours was one of the few ones that I didn’t know and that I hoped you wouldn’t notice this thread, hahaha.

The best I figured overall the possibilities I turned in my mind over the last couple days (yes, I’ve been thinking of you in secret for the last couple days, have your ears been burning?) is that some sort of mathematical equation may be connected to geometry? That would be my best guess, but it’s probably wrong.

The only other possible I guess I have is some sort of compass. It looks like all of the directions are covered there, but it doesn’t look like any kind of compass I’ve ever seen.

I noticed yours around too the last couple days, I did wonder what it was a couple times, obvious it’s a cartoon, but I couldn’t say of who……it looks like it might be from a newspaper comic but, the thing that really strikes me is it has the art style of the old Schoolhouse Rock show. Could it be a character from a segment of Schoolhouse rock?

It’s Srulik, a character by Hungarian-Israeli cartoonist Kariel “Dosh” Gardosh, who’s used as the “national personification” of Israel - like Uncle Sam or Marianne, but more laid back.

Ah. Sorry. I guess there are a lot of symbols out there.

It is the Chaos Star originated by Michael Moorcock in his Elric of Melnibone stories when he tired of the Good Vs. Evil trope ans used Law vs. Chaos instead. The concept was picked up from there by TSR and used in their two-axis alignment in Dungeons & Dragons.

The gold and blue I added in 2022 for reasons that should be obvious.

Mine is real prosaic compared to a lot of these.

Even the explanations of some of the very esoteric (to me) avatars are Greek to me.
