Stump me with your avatarl

I have nothing. Vague resemblance to the Riddler, though.

Is it a hawk?

I have no idea, video game character, if I had to guess….uh…a final fantasy character? Looks like a definite jrpg character.

It’s a bunny wearing headphones on a submarine.

You can’t say I’m wrong. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Is your avatar Timothy Mcleary?

It’s a voodoo doll but I couldn’t tell you a specific one. I’m guessing it’s a specific one, though.

I don’t know what yours is but I seem to recognize the art style, I’ve seen it before, is it somebody who used to illustrate mad magazine?

I guess this is a bad idea, all I have is vague answers at this point, all the people who I knew the Avatar of are staying far away from this topic. Yours has got to be a character obviously but I have no idea who it is. Somebody who is a karate expert though.

Now that you mention it I’m surprised I didn’t know who it was before, as soon as you said Al Pacino I thought maybe Scarface, because I’ve never seen The godfather before and he looks kind of like around that age.

That looks like a setting or place out of like a Flash Gordon comic. How close is that?

I know nothing about sports. It’s obviously the logo of a sports team, indiana? An Indiana college team?

I have seen that character before, I recognize it. I couldn’t say who it is though.

So far I think all but, maybe, five or six people in this thread have stumped me.

A character from Futurama, that’s all I know. I’ve never watched the show, though. I know Fry by name and I know Bender, I don’t know the name of the one-eyed woman, and I certainly don’t know that one.

Zoidberg, is that a character on futurama?

Edited to add, let me clarify, I know that the person in your avatar is not zoidberg either, I wasn’t guessing that, I just thought of that name as another person I knew the name of from that show. At least I think that characters from that show. Maybe it’s Family Guy

That’s interesting you should mention the Riddler.

In the late 80’s when Aly Morrison of Marauder Miniatures and the Citadel Design Team sculpted a line of Space Marines in Mk VI armour for the then-fledgling sci-fi miniatures combat game Warhammer 40,000, somebody at Games Workshop (Studio ladz? Mail order team?) thought it would be funny to name them after the cast of Batman.

There’s a Brother (Adam) West, Brother (Burt) Ward, Brother (Frank) Gorshin, and this model, Brother (Yvonne) Craig.

This particular “Brother Craig” model, painted as a Blood Angel and nicknamed “Johnny” after a meme related to Cartoon Network’s Ed, Edd, n Eddy, is the unofficial mascot of 4chan’s “Work In Progress” community.

It’s become a rite of passage of sorts to get your hands on one and paint it up in the colours of your favourite Space Marine chapter… or whatever other army faction you can make work.

Well that’s stating the obvious. Why is it a bunny? Why is it wearing headphones?

Good enuff. It’s some spliced together images that might suggest Baal Houtham (a handle that’s mostly meaningless).

I thought that “Baal Houtham” meant “master of the seal”? Whatever that means…

Haven’t heard that definition, but would love having a loyal army of pinnipeds.

You can’t just name the character. What specific cartoon is it from?

It’s Vincent Van Gogh’s “Head of a Skeleton with a Burning Cigarette”, a student work while he was studying in Antwerp. Drawing skeletons is a common art school task; Van Gogh took it one step further and stuck a cigarette on as a joke.

I saw it at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam a while back and was suitably amused.
