A natural consequence of trying to defend the GOP?
Possibly, but still, in the past, I’ve only had the minorest quibbles with them, most of which could be fairly explained by an overweening desire to be non-partisan, a case of crippling “on the other handedness”. But this confuses me, and, frankly, worries.
Would opening a thread in the Pit and announcing “I was right in my analysis. Discuss, bitch” be meeting the gentleman halfway ?
If you really think that proposing a bigger hike than your opponent, and then robocalling to say your opponent is proposing a big hike, isn’t deceptive, factcheck.org accepts emails and takes criticism pretty well.
How about them Dems, insisting on continuing their disastrous spending policies and balking at any attempt to cut them back? They are perfectly willing to let the country default on its debt rather than accepts spending reductions. Gotta spend, spend, spend like a drunen sailor, don’cha know?
You’re not even fucking trying. It’s sad.
Now, that’s just not fair! Its all he’s got, try to be charitable.
Dude, Clothahump, lots of us are totally ready and willing to mock Democrats. You gotta be able to find something better than that.
This is gonna get my vote for most pitiful Pit thread ever.
Well, that is certainly one take on the Tea-Party-sponsored “Puppetry of the Penis” show that’s dragging along in the House.
It’s a bit like the famous optical illusion picture that some people see as a vase, and others as a bunch of half-baked, partisan-spun horseshit that bears little resemblance to reality.
Both parties spend like drunks on a binge. It’s just that the left generally does funded (revenue) spending and right does deficit (borrowed) spending. It’s really not a contest as to which I would prefer, but perhaps you prefer the giant economic hole that we’re in.
I seriously opened this thread fully prepared to congratulate the resurrector, agree with him or her, and then laugh that it’ll just take another 3000 ideas to equal the Republican version.
But this…this…seriously? No link? Nothing but a generalized and completely out-of-touch generalization?
Even the scarecrows are complaining that you’re hoarding all the straw for yourself.
This just in: Angry, ignorant, man shakes fist at cloud!
Right, ‘Tax and Spend’ vs. ‘No Tax and Spend’.
How do you like them dems, they have become party of personal and national responsibility? They believe when we start wars or pass medicare drug benefit expansions, we should raise taxes to pay for it instead of making our children and grandchildren pay for it.
Oh, come on. Remember why your original dumbass thread failed? This is why. We ask for actual examples and links and such, and you chime in with “Democrats R stoopid poopyheads, hur hur hur”. It’s not the Democrats who come out looking stupid.
And it says a lot that the so-called liberal Kool Aid drinkers of the SDMB have to do the heavy lifting in a Stupid Democratic Idea of the Day thread. At least Bricker is making an effort.
Dude, if that’s your idea of a “Stupid Democratic Idea” – if that’s the best you can come up with – then you’d damned well better vote Democratic all up and down the ticket in 2012.
You forgot to add “Bless his heart”.
I tend to vote Democratic as the closest to my political position (I’ve been registered Independent for decades now) but then I end up voting for people like Ben effing Nelson (speaking of stupid Democrats). It’s not much of a solution.
I can’t believe the Democrats aren’t doing and saying more specifically stupid things (other than just being their usual weeny weedy weaky selves). I want links, people! Hasn’t Biden said anything dumb lately? I am disappointed.
No, what’s sad is that he is trying, and that’s the best he can do.
