Wrong, fucknuts. Tax and spend vs borrow and spend. The latter is how you get yourself into debt, or didn’t you pay attention in school? Or even during the years 2000-2008, for that matter. Where do you think the money for two wars came from?
Tax cuts!
I’m sure it’s going to trickle down into the nation’s coffers any time now!
The money for the wars came from Bush/Cheney sphincters.
I was in a hurry…sorry.
Been three days now. Got anything better?
The worst Democratic idea ever: Deciding at some point to bend over and take it in the arse while Republicans continuously pound grade school-level propaganda into the tiny, closed minds of “common folk” in the midwest and southeast.
Besides their complete lack of understanding of economic principals that a homeless crackhead could grasp, they also show an affinity for deviant sexual behavior. They should be called out as often as possible.
The Republican Party IS the party of perverts…a “normal” Republican politician seems to be one who only fucks adult males in the ass, as opposed to minors.
Tax and spend …bad. Cut taxes and spend …good. I guess I will never figure out the fine points of Republican economics. The first does not cause deficits. the latter does.
I forgot, taxes are bad. The rich who use the services should not be expected to pay for them. That is exploitation.
No, no … you didn’t say it right. You say, “Taxes are baaaaad, mkay?”
Actually, I’ll take back my comment about being in a hurry. We should all be outraged at the way the Dems are butt-fucking the American public solely for pure political gain. But of course, with the liberal trend on this board, that apparently isn’t enough.
So here is another stupid Dem idea: Obama’s strangling the drilling in the Gulf has cost over 230k jobs, not to mention increasing our dependancy on the East for oil.

Well sure, but when he sent those mercenaries to blow up the Deepwater Horizon it created a whole shitload of jobs!

Gosh, what could be more convincing than some guy’s blog quoting noted whackjob Darrell Issa?
I know!
I hate the way that the Democrats will not compromise on raising the budget limit, and refuse to do so unless there are nothing but tax increases and no spending cuts. I mean, it’s just crazy to stick to one single solution, especially when 80% of the American Public thinks that a combination of cuts to spending and tax increases is needed in order to tame the deficit.
What?
It’s the Republican’s who refuse to compromise? And they only want spending cuts (favored by 20% of the public, the “tea party” base)?
So the Republicans are the ones who are refusing to compromise, and screwing the country solely because their base (20% of the public) is too stupid to understand basic finance?
Nevermind.

Last year we had one of the largest man-made disasters ever. EVER. Lives were lost. Animals killed. Farms destroyed. Livelihoods ruined for generations. All caused because a company with a poor safety record drilled in an area where it did not have the capability of stopping a leak once it started and then used 50 year old technology in attempting to clean up its mess.
Because of this, the government said “let’s slow down a second and see what’s up.”
Yet, BP posted a profit of 5.5 billion dollars. Exxon, the world’s most profitable company in the history of history, posted a $31 billion profit. This, despite these “increased regulations” and “lack of deepwater drilling” available.
So what you’re telling me, Clothahump. What you’re expecting everyone here to believe, is that these companies with over 50 billion dollars in profit from just the last year alone cannot hire more workers? That the Democrats and the Democrats alone are to blame for this?
What you’re asking us to believe is that, according to your link, this drilling slowdown has cost 230,000 jobs and will cost 500,000 over the next several years? The Bureau of Labor Statistics says that the entirety of the oil workforce is 162,000 workers. But, would these oil companies only have unfettered access to an area they still don’t have the technology to control were things to go to shit like happened last year, they would triple or quadruple their workforce. Right now they don’t have the money to do that, but who knows. Next year they might pool their resources and take out an ad in Monster.com.
Is this what you’re claiming, Clothahump? Is it really?
Are you seriously so fucking stupid you can’t even play along?
Read the stupid Republican thread. It’s generally individual stupid things Republicans have done. It’s not vague concepts or the whole of their political ideology.
Find an individual Democrat doing something stupid, it’s not really that hard.
In this case your ascribing super powers to Obama. Do you seriously think he’s out there personally strangling jobs? It may be a function of his policies but that’s in the realm of debate not a ‘Stupid Democrat idea of the day’
Then lets move on to your stupid premise anyway. Our laws restrict the selling of child porn! That’s costing jobs in America and forcing people to get it from other countries!
Something creating jobs doesn’t make it a good thing.
Fuck every ruff neck job in this country if they can’t get their act together and stop spilling oil into our waterways. If killing their jobs is the only way to get that point across, that shit isn’t acceptable and they need to show us they have the ability to avoid it in the future or at least a plan to deal with it when it does. A moratorium forcing that on them so be it, fuck their jobs.
A stupider idea was letting those fuckers return to drilling with the same disaster plans and same fault equipment they used before the BP spill.
Nitpick: oil companies’ overall revenues and profits are mostly tied to overseas extraction (and overseas jobs). The fact that they made money despite reduced US operations doesn’t mean that reduced US operations aren’t costing us tax and employment dollars.
There’s a big difference between disagreeing a basic position and a position being stupid. My opinion is that the major butt-fucking of America has been almost the exclusive domain of the GOP in the past 10 or so years.
There’s incorrect, and then there’s stupid. Let’s see some stupid, not just “I disagree with Democrats because I think environmentally fucking over the gulf coast is just peachy, so I’m pissed at Obama for seeking better oversight and reliability.”
Keep in mind you can’t change stupid. That’s why all he’s good for is mockery.

As comments you should take back go, this was not the best possible place to start.
