And he’s doing as much as anyone can to stop the epidemic of Stoopid. It isn’t working all that well, though.
It’s taking longer than we thought.
We can only expect so much. The man maybe the simultaneous embodiment of the Antichrist and a Messiah, but he is still only human.
Also, Adaher & Clothahump are still only deluded imbeciles.
…whose idea of providing a supporting citation is to quote *Eric Cantor *on the subject. What’s the matter, Limbaugh’s website down?
And now the House passes the VA reform bill, which the Senate will vote on:
Wow, all this productivity. Maybe the GOP isn’t so obstructionist after all. Democrats need to quit confusing their pet ideas with the good of the country. There’s actually still a lot both sides do agree on. Today’s stupid liberal idea, starting at midnight, so technically tomorrow’s stupid liberal idea of the day, is that bipartisan agreement isn’t good enough! The Democrats must also get what they want!
Oh, and put this in the un-Presidential Obama attack file:

“Stop hating all the time!”
His intelligence is VERY overrated.
It’s true they spend some of their time despising.
There are many things a President should delegate to people under him. Partisan attacks are one of them. It’s always been un-Presidential to angrily call out the opposition by name and so frequently.
Perhaps if he delegates this important task to others, he can start focusing on what his job actually is, like fixing his broken bureaucracy.
Do you have a single original thought or do you just scour right-wing sites for sound bytes to parrot?
Besides, I thought one of your complaints is he doesn’t do enough hands-on in every single aspect of the government and now you want him to delegate?
Partisan attacks aren’t government. It’s politics. There’s never been anything wrong with his political team that he can’t leave this kind of thing to them.
Now the IRS, VA, NSA, and HHS, that’s another story. How is he coming along as far as fixing these broken agencies?
I’m impressed by adahar’s ability to doublethink, since I didn’t even know he could singlethink.
It’s only doublethink if you’re a shallow thinker. Delegation is part of successful management and I’ve never suggested that the President himself should do every task the federal government does. I’ve only said he was responsible for the performance of the federal government, a concept that is nearly universally accepted in law and politics. It’s only on the ignorance fighting board that a lot of otherwise smart people spread a different view.
Basic management 101 is that you delegate, and if delegation fails, you’ve gotta fix it. When a President has broken agencies and no one in the agency can right the ship, the President has to find people who can and make sure they do the job. Delegation does not mean “delegate and go play golf or make a partisan speech.” Delegation goes with follow up. if you don’t follow up and make sure the jobs you delegated are getting done, then chances are they won’t get done.
It’s impossible to have agencies that aren’t “broken”, in the sense that mishaps never happen. Do you hold all presidents to impossible standards or just this one?
This past couple of years have gone beyond mishaps. There’s no accountability, no transparency, and the President is more interested in covering his ass than finding out about problems and fixing them.
Yeah, that doesn’t answer my question.
If you honestly think this many breakdowns is normal, and that the President has handled it the same way other Presidents do, I can’t help you.
I can remember lots of “breakdowns” during earlier administrations. Can you?
I’m just pleased that it’s the president of Australia that used to do all those partisan attacks against the democrats…

Actually, it was Obama’s fault that the ACA website wasn’t ready on time:

WASHINGTON (AP) – Management failures by the Obama administration set the stage for computer woes that paralyzed the president’s new health care program last fall, nonpartisan investigators said in a report released Wednesday.
While the administration was publicly assuring consumers that they would soon have seamless online access to health insurance, a chaotic procurement process was about to deliver a stumbling start.
After a months-long investigation, the Government Accountability Office found that the administration lacked “effective planning or oversight practices” for the development of HealthCare.gov, the portal for millions of uninsured Americans
These kinds of stories only seem to come as a surprise to liberal Dopers. Haven’t figured out why that is yet.
