Stupid liberal idea of the day

Stupid liberal idea: The President can’t be expected to know things, even if most of the American citizenry does. After all, they took his Blackberry!

Obama’s right! His supporters are idiots!

Examples?

CMC fnord!
'Course now we’ll have to explain the difference between what the American citizenry thinks as opposed to what the American citizenry actually knows. :smack:

Sometimes President Obama doesn’t do himself any favors in his interviews but it’s pretty clear what happened. He wanted no part of Syria, even with the reports of IS atrocities. But then they pressed into Iraq and further threatened Baghdad, so he had to act. Then they started beheading Americans on video. In a free press society, It’s almost a political impossibility for any leader to let that go unanswered (ask David Cameron). So not only does he have to act IN Syria, but he also has to manufacture some bs reason for why he didn’t act sooner.

I support Obama but there is a certain weakness in him. A stronger guy would’ve pulled all of the troops out of Afghanistan in 2010 when the reports came back his surge wasn’t working. AND he would’ve stood his ground on not acting in Syria.

I support the President 100% in his actions. I just wish he’d take responsibility for what goes on in his administration rather than always throwing his underlings under the bus.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

On Syria and Iraq I sure do.

For today’s stupid liberal I nominate Bob Beckel. First of all, we have to give Beckel some credit: He works for the Fair and Balanced News Network appearing on a news discussion show called The Five – four sober intelligent thinkers with Beckel along as a fifth to play the role of clown. But, as seen here, when his co-hosts pointed out the obvious fact that Obama puts the interests of Islamists ahead of American safety, Beckel lost his grip. Perhaps we’ll never know what he said – Did he confess to being born in Kenya also? But if he keeps it up, he’ll lose his job as well-paid clown, maybe need to look for a job in the lame-brained leftist media.

Stupid liberal.

“four sober intelligent thinkers”… “obvious fact that Obama puts the interests of Islamists ahead of American safety”…

Is this a whoosh?

Hell, as clothy and adaher have repeatedly shown in this thread, they’re largely incapable of recognizing liberal stupidity. Can you honestly expect them to identify it amongst their own kind?

Your depthless compassion and concern for the President’s underlings is just so heartwarming. What a pity they don’t work for you instead.

Which explains why, over in the stupid Republican ideas thread, adaher’s supportive response to the Representative urging US generals to resign en masse to protest Obama’s Mideast policies is:

[QUOTE=adaher]
That’s not exactly controversial

Maybe he just needs someone to show him how its done?

Hey adaher, repeat after me: “Obama is doing a terrific job on Syria and Iraq, making all of the right moves, and anyone who undercuts him is traitorous and deserves to be fired or resign”

Jesus, Joe, we all know you’re a bit of a buffoon, albeit a nice guy, but when you visit a city on campaign tour, you’re more likely to win votes by NOT totally fucking up the rush-hour commute.

Secret Service demands on the city resulted in all commuter trains stopping any time the motorcade was moving. This normally meant a delay of some minutes. But right at the end, Biden decides to do something extemporaneous and stops for an ice cream cone at a local business. Ten minutes turned into 45 minutes as all trains, packed full of people trying to get home, sat immobile waiting for ol’ Joe to get done blathering and yukking it up with the locals and to get moving toward the airport. A lot of unhappy people, and not the best move for someone trying to get people to the polls to vote “D”.

What else are they really gonna do in Portland? Vote Green party?

Wait, what? The Secret Service thinks someone is going to hijack a train, cause it to derail and smash it into the Veep’s motorcade?

Jeez, people, Skyfall was just a movie.

If by “green”, you mean marijuana, then I guess we’ll find out this fall.

The official excuse is that a train could be hijacked (work with me here) and used to block the route, allowing an attack on the stopped motorcade. Because in Portland, if one intersection is blocked, fuck it, the VP is dead. No other roads you can use to get to the ice cream store.

The Secret Service is right to do what they do. But Presidents and VPs and First Ladies should really be more mindful of how impractical it is to travel and do it less. It’s a rather large cost to taxpayers plus a minor blow to economic activity wherever they go.

Or at least try to figure out what a clock is for and to realize that people work regular hours and that rush hour is an actual “thing”.
