Stupid liberal idea of the day

Dictionary.com says it’s two words. Shrug.

Isn’t a germplasm what happens if you rub her mitochondria just the way she likes it?

Maybe not in Gaelic, but it’s been one in English since 1889.

Idiot.

Hahahahaha I’m gonna mock you for being an idiot, you idiot! Lawls!

What, I’m wrong? Oh. Shrug.

It’s two words, not one. See the link in post #2861. Moronic old man.

Oh. My. Ghod.

I love this guy! He’s my new favorite! Please please please can we keep him?!?

Also? Germplasm and germ plasm aretwo different things. TMYK!

Well, only if you feed him, and take him for walks, and clean up his sandbox.

And you have to rub his feet.

Fuck. He’s a bunny?

…and name him George, and hug him, and pet him, and squeeze him…

Exaggeration is normal for wingnuts of his ilk – it’s just a form of lying and doesn’t bother them. Don’t you remember – what was his name? I’ll just call him Rightwing-libertarian-moron#314 – who made a big deal about Forbes’ claim that the FRB had dished out $20 trillion (or was it $20 quadrillion?) of taxpayer money? When the lies of Forbes were carefully explained to him, Rightwing-libertarian-moron#314’s response was something like “Well, it’s the principle that counts.” :smack:

I’m annoyed that both SLIOTD and SRIOTD have mutated into Right-wing stupidity as performance art. Can’t they start their own thread?

The Javascript may check cookies or referrer. Right now, I can access from Chrome but not (unless I disable Javascript) IE or Firefox. Since cookies are browser-dependant, I’m guessing the Javascript now “likes” my Chrome self because I’m now infected with the John Kaas Facebook cookie. … And sure enough, when I clear the last hour of cookies the paywall reappears in Chrome.

In any event, the fact that the sock/troll keeps mindlessly repeating himself about the very existence of the “paywall” lets us know he’s not very smart.

And yet, measured rates of food allergy have gone up. This is just beyond stupid. It’s like saying “Climate change occurs over millenia, not the last thirty or forty years” when someone brings up recent ice cap melting - that’s nice, dear, but your stupid misconceptions about science do not invalidate the measurements! The fact is that we have many more food allergies now than in the past. We’re not sure why, but it’s a real phenomenon. Now, you can deny that, but it places you in the same camp as the people who deny that, say, the earth is going around the sun.

Yes, and if I press “stop loading” at just the right time, I can get around the NYT paywall. Doesn’t mean it’s not a paywall!

I dunno, man. This kind of is that thread - real liberal idiocy in politics is not that common, so most of the times this thread gets bumped, it’s because a right-winger gets another spate of brain diarrhea.

Changes can happen from processes other than evolution. And these changes have happened, whether you deny them or not. Cancer rates, obesity, diabetes, etc., really have changed in recent history, as have the stats for allergies. It may be changes in the environment, or other causes besides human evolution.

More to the point: This is not evolution per se, it is probably simply a case of a child’s immune system not having anything to do due to out rather sterile society. At least that is one theory.

I thought your kind of conservatives denied evolution!

Would you be happier if we explained that many kids today have serious food allergies that didn’t exist before because Jesus did it?

For the love of Christ, why are you people feeding it?

Because the SDMB is getting $50,000 in gov’t funding to study how much shit is produced by the average…thing.
And you have to feed it.

Engaging with people who disagree with me – even people who might be trolls – is one of the main reasons I come to the Dope. It’s fun.

This link may be of interest to you.

Very well. Carry one, but remember it’s your responsibility. You have to clean up after it, and take it for walkies.
Then massage its feet afterwards. Gotta earn that grant.
