I wonder how common an impression it is. I have had a similar reaction every time I see a photo of the young Barron. I just plain feel bad for him, he looks like he would like to know what it is like to go fishing and get dirty. Or just be any where but where he is. And more directly, trying to protect his fellow soldiers and bystanders. His death wasn’t some abstract patriotism thing, but a very personal decision that he could prevent multiple deaths by his own and it was the right thing to do.
