Reminds me of that thread where everyone claimed to put me on ignore for saying mean things about Hillary. Noone piped up about how those snowflake posters were looking for safe space or taking their ball and going home.
You are behaving like a “ready for Hillary” poster.
Rather amusing that he finds the need to use Felix Unger’s ass-u-me argument. C’hump doesn’t need any help making an ass of himself where politics are involved. His warning for dragging politics into GQ is my cite.
Because I know that you are going to be on tenterhooks waiting for the answer, I believe that Clothahump was referring to the quote that “When you assume you make an ass of u and me”.
I am older than you, turdlick. By the time you are my age, if you have not learned how to cope with fools, you might as well unplug your internets and go out to pasture to graze your twilight years away.
Kinda dumb though.
I mean, you have to add the u and the me to the ass to make assume. So like, “when you assume, you’re sticking u and me onto the end of an ass” doesn’t really work.
And meaning-wise, although “you make an ass out of yourself when you assume things” could work in some cases, I don’t see how “you make an ass out of me when you assume things” would work in most cases.
I think that might have been me.
As I recall, I was referring Clothahump to one of your posts as an example of thoughtful advice that he might like to reflect upon.
Having interacted with you before, I’m willing to bet they put you on ignore not because of your opinions, but because you made a dozen stupid posts in a row, misunderstood everything other people were saying, and deliberately strawmanned every position other than your own. I call you Mr. 20% because, when I challenged your reading comprehension by asking you to cite things you claimed other posters said, only 20% of the cites actually said what you claimed they said (and that was if I was being generous).
I look forward to your forthcoming 20-consecutive-post rebuttal of absolutely nothing that I actually said.
This is stupid for at least three reasons:
(1) It’s just generally a dick move
(2) Israel has a record on gay rights that is vastly better than most (all?) of the countries surrounding it
(3) It plays right into the narrative that the right is desperately trying to make stick about the intolerant left
It’s worth repeating for the sake of clarity that this was not the main Pride march but rather a smaller one organized by a different group on a different day, but this certainly looks like a stupid liberal idea on the face of it.
“adding that the march was “anti-Zionist” and “pro-Palestinian,” according to the Windy City Times. American flags also were reportedly not welcome at the event, although it isn’t clear whether anyone was kicked out for having one. Flags from other nations appears to have been allowed.”
So not entirely unexpected and not a “Liberal” event.
Also, Liberal or not, right or wrong, it does look like the people who were asked to leave chose the wrong symbol for the wrong protest, whether as an innocent misunderstanding or as an attempt to stir up trouble.
