Stupid liberal idea of the day

Lame. But not unexpected.

Are you kidding? The average response that I get on the Durp looks like it came from a five year old. And I may be insulting five year olds by saying that.

That’s because we have to talk at your level.

Once again, thank you for so eloquently proving my point for me.

Well, fancy that. I found a pretty bad idea being forwarded by a prominent liberal-type. It is along the lines of “I don’t like the smoke from your chimney, so I’m gonna build an even bigger, uglier fire, just to piss you off”.

There’s a difference between not having the wherewithal to properly argue with you and knowing through experience not to bother trying.

Actually, the image of a throng of liberal mums gathered en masse for some recreational baby-dropping is morbidly amusing. I’m picturing them dribbling their offspring like basketballs around a large stadium, the occasional dunk thrown in for good measure.

Still, with all that aggressive liberal baby dropping going on, I have to wonder why there is such a lack of actual stupid liberal ideas in a thread ostensibly dedicated to that topic. Especially when the OP started off by claiming there were “so many to choose from”. Seems like false advertising.

The OP has shown that he’s unable to recognize an actual stupid liberal idea if it smashed through a window.

He is, however, absolutely convinced that such things exist and that we’re all morons, he just can’t provide actual proof of such things.

Which isn’t really any different from a lot of Conservative beliefs.

Like a UFOlogist.

To be fair, I’m not sure I would recognize a liberal who’d just come crashing through my window. I guess it would depend on what level of healthcare they felt they were entitled to.
And not using the front door in the first place would have to count as a stupid idea.

Progressive liberal here. Let me take a stab at this: #Oprah2020.

So apparently Democrats are warming up to the idea of an unqualified media personality in the Oval. Let me join the rest of world and roll my eyes into the back of my head. No disrespect to the Queen of Talk, of course.

I’m just going to put this out there right here and now. This most assuredly is *not *the way to win back my support in future elections.

I concur. I’m hoping this is a joke, but then I thought Trump’s candidacy was a joke and look where we are now. No Oprah, no Kanye, no other ‘novelty’ candidates*. The country can’t take any more of this.

*Well, maybe Dolly. Dolly is awesome.

Agreed. I like Oprah. She’s clever, a shrewd businessperson, a terrific actor, a reasonably effective activist. But not qualified to be President. *More [/] qualified than the current one, without a doubt… But just no.

That’s even before considering “Drs” Oz and Phil, her endorsement of whom immediately disqualifying her in my book.

In a normal election cycle, I would welcome her participation. Being in the primaries isn’t alway so much as trying to win the nomination as it is to get a message out. Having her participate in some debates and campaign events could widen the support for democratic policies.

OTOH, this election cycle is odd, so it may not be the best idea to temp fate in that fashion.

You want proof? Go back to post one of this thread and read every response made to anything that I have posted. Nothing but name calling and bullshit.

I’ve said it before: the mental age of the respondents is that of a five year old. And that is probably insulting to five year olds. And I know that’s what pisses you people off - I point out your stupidity. And I laugh at it. And you can’t refute what I say, so you resort to the name calling.

So, so very predictable.

If by “name calling and bullshit,” you mean “pointing out that most of your stories didn’t actually happen,” that’s 100% true!

Post 9 was the first real name-calling. As usual. you lied.
Not only that, but the first real stupid liberal idea was in post 8, an unemployment office giving superhero capes to the homeless.
And you missed it.
Just like you miss almost every true stupid liberal idea out there.
Which get posted here by liberals.
Why are you so bad at your job?

On the one hand there is certainly plenty of namecalling, although for someone who complains about such things Clothahump is extraordinarily willing to jump in first with the insults.

On the other hand, I very much fear that by “bullshit” he does in fact mean the substantive points made in response to his attempts to show stupid ideas by liberals. That so many of his contributions (though - let’s be fair here - not all of them) have turned out to be either missing significant details, highly skewed of interpretation or just plain false are a sad testimony to the types of media sources in which he immerses himself. Perhaps if he made the effort to remove his hyperpartisan filters once in a while and to use some more objective critical thinking skills, this thread wouldn’t be so reliant on us liberals to fill it with genuine examples of stupid liberal ideas.

And yet this response is exactly the same thing!

Geez dude, are you completely unaware of your own name calling?
