This morning, a few dozen former senators co-signed an op-ed that was mostly a bunch of unspecific pablum, but at this time, is clearly a plea to the Senate to take the Mueller investigation seriously and to put partisanship aside when looking at the allegations that Trump broke several laws.
I have no problem with that message. I mean, who would, other than the most brain-dead partisans?
Well, the infamous Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez found something to whine about: the men (and like two women) didn’t declare whether they were currently working as a lobbyist.
Jesus Fucking Christ, can you not read for context?
For being a cartoonish millennial. There really ought to be a sitcom that follows the travails of a member of Congress who has to balance complex policy matters while not letting a good social media clap-back opportunity pass by.
She was responding to someone else who raised that issue. From your link:
It’s a tangential issue, sure, but it’s a pet issue of hers, and I don’t think she was dismissing the op-ed by saying it’s a question that should be asked more regularly.
(To be clear what the issue is: newspapers do run op-eds by people who are paid lobbyists without requiring disclosure. There was an example the other day that I’ve forgotten the details of [stupid liberal!])
I know that I, Angelsoft, do not have your superior intellect and education…but could it be that, once again, you are angry at something else? And are looking to take it out on me? Perhaps the ravings of a gringo? Or three?
HRC has made mistakes, but I think she is a very, very intelligent and capable person. She’s very formidable. I think AOC fits in well with the current political climate, which rewards attention more than competence.
I think she’s more HRC-in-waiting. Liz Warren is going to bear the brunt of Individual One’s barbed and juvenile humor right up until someone else is nominated. And then beats the pants off Donnie.
