Stupid liberal idea of the day

Surprised this wasn’t mentioned: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/biden-jokingly-calls-new-hampshire-voter-lying-dog-faced-pony-n1133246

Now maybe the tone of both the question and answer was such that it more a naturally humorous situation, but Jeez, Joe, your campaign is already is some trouble, you don’t need to be handing out gratuitous insults to voters and giving your opponents any additional ammunition to question your judgement.

Not if you want to beat the real lying dog-faced non-pony soldier…

IMHO as always. YMMV.

Good lord. The article says the “pony soldier” line is supposed to be a reference to an old John Wayne movie, but no one knows what movie. Way to keep your finger on the pulse of today’s culture, Joe!

In spite of his myriad flaws, I think Biden is a generally likable guy. But shit like this… man. Still, if he gets the nomination, I’m voting for him. To my knowledge he isn’t in cahoots with any foreign powers, and he probably wouldn’t set up concentration camps, so he’s better than Trump. Get it together, Joe.

So Biden is not only insulting people for no real reason, he’s sounding like Abe Simpson doing it. Now I want to ask him if he used to wear an onion on his belt and whether he plans to remove three states if elected.

Biden also said he’d have a real good vice president in case he dies.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of himself.

Is a “pony soldier” anything like a “ponygirl?”

(May be NSFW, although there’s no real detail in the photo. If your boss is Mormon, don’t.)

I’m guessing this one.

He’s the dougie_monty of politics.

Got this from https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2020/02/whence-a-lyin-dog-faced-pony-soldier.php:

Same here, but Lord don’t make it harder than it’s going to be, Joe.

The big difference is that Trump preaches hatred. He ran on it. He glories in it. That’s his message.

You can’t show any equivalent anywhere on the Dem side. Not even close.

And the power structure is now openly threatening their own people who refused to suck Trump’s cock.

What a strange thing to say, even if it is a “joke”. I’ve been to a presidential caucus and I’ve never lived in Iowa nor Nevada. Is there some “mark of the beast” that I’m sporting that is only visible to presidential candidates?

I absolutely agree. I wasn’t trying to draw an equivalence, just cataloging a stupid liberal (unconfirmed but looks that way), as this is the place for that.

I think we’re all in agreement that the guy who drove through the tent is a stupid asshole, liberal or not.

The guy who drove into the Trump volunteer tent reportedly admitted to police that he did it because he didn’t like Trump. The reports I’ve seen don’t go into more detail, only saying Gregory Timm didn’t like Trump. I suppose it’s possible that Timm thinks Trump isn’t right wing enough, but I’m gonna guess he leans to the other end of the political spectrum.

FWIW, Gregory Timm looks like he should be wearing a swastika armband.

At this moment in time, there is no evidence whatsoever that he leans towards any portion of the political spectrum. He did say he hates Trump though, so there’s that.

I did notice the fashy haircut and overall look of the guy, but I was on the fence between “Nazi” and “hipster”.

Gun to my head, I’d still guess liberal, but white supremacist is still a distinct possibility.

I’m all for employment but inventing unnecessary jobs seems like a pretty bad way to go about it.

Ok - maybe not strictly a liberal idea but it seems to fit…

It “works” for New Jersey and, I think, Oregon. Create minimum wage jobs and claim job growth. What a win. /s

I do too and I’m a staunch conservative.
