P.S. It wasn’t a lynching, as the family’s lawyer claims.
So the video showed him drowning?
Pack it in, investigators! Some random guy on the internet says everything’s okay.
The coroner’s report which showed no evidence of pre-death trauma, but toxicology and histology reports are still pending and which wouldn’t show evidence from things that don’t leave marks (like being pushed or carried)? Or the video that shows nothing more than him alone at some point before he died.
Neither of those things prove anything. If he had strangulation marks on his neck, it would prove he was strangled. Lack of pre-death trauma doesn’t mean he wasn’t murdered.
If the camera had showed him tripping over an untied shoelace and landing in the water, it would likely be ruled an accident. But, so far as I know, there’s no footage of his final moments.
Footage near the time of his death showing someone with him would point towards foul-play. Lack of video evidence of a second person, doesn’t prove a second person wasn’t involved.
I’m not saying this wasn’t an accident, I’m saying you don’t know that it was or wasn’t. They logic you’re using to prove it wasn’t doesn’t work. Your logic would be similar to if you reported your car stolen out of your driveway, but the cops said ‘someone that lives about a half mile away has a doorbell camera that showed you driving a half hour before you reported it stolen, so we think you probably just forgot where you parked it or let one of your friends borrow it’.
Make sense? Video evidence if you driving your car before you reported it stolen doesn’t mean it wasn’t stolen.
I haven’t been able to find how much time elapsed, or even estimated to have elapsed, between the time he was seen on video alone and the time they estimated he died, or was found.
It should also be noted that even the local PD has called his death ‘suspicious’.
I’m wondering how you think a healthy 15 year old boy drowned in half a foot of water with nobody else there.
This whole situation is sketchy as hell. Boy taken from his home by people unacquainted with the parents, driven miles and miles away, allowed to leave with no transport, no call back to the parents, no “let me drive you home”, just let him wander off on foot. Boy found near that home dead, drowned in 6 inches of water. Sketchy.
C’mon, clearly this ‘kid’ was high on the crackajuahana and the PCmethaP and resisted the waters lawful arrest.
I hear-tell that he knew someone whose cousin once sold a dime bag.
I know you’re just cracking wise, but at least this would make sense, which is more than I can say for the conservative trying to make an legitimate argument.
Stupid liberal idea from a day spent on a pleasant hillside:
Matthew; 5 3-10
Nobody claimed it was a lynching, it was a drowning. But then, you would know that, since apparently you’re a witness.
Although somebody has jumped from “he resembles this other kid who was lynched” to “he was lynched”.
Seriously, why all this objection to an investigation from someone who is supposedly not involved?
I know! It’s strange. He’s like “The family and everyone here is stupid for wanting more investigation, because I have sat in the comfort of my armchair and determined that no more investigation is needed. Case closed.”
" The death of 15-year-old Quawan “Bobby” Charles has all the markings of a modern-day lynching according to his family – who say the case reminds them of the Emmett Till tragedy."
The markings of a modern day lynching. Not a lynching. Difference.
And even if they meant an actual lynching, proving that he wasn’t lynched doesn’t prove he wasn’t murdered, it only proves he wasn’t lynched.

My liberal idea of the day:
Biden should tent the White House before he moves in. Needs to eliminate the pests.
Just the White House? What about all the other government buildings?
Yeah, well fuck Merriam-Webster. They have literally defined “literally” as its opposite. I am literally angry with rage.
Or as I like to say, literally literally means figuratively.
