I just don’t think it’s a good idea to allow people like this into society, let alone politics.
I get the “we need weasels, there is weasel work to do” argument, But surely part of politics is changing the nature of politics to not allow weasels. We are dripping with evil weasels.
These people don’t seem too hard to spot, they were the snitching, crawling centrists from school, university and work who see the easy path and the trappings of virtue and then dress up and set off.

I support universal health care but not Medicare for all necessarily. I support climate change initiatives but not necessarily the green new deal. His opinions seem pretty much in line with Biden’s and mine. I don’t see where they are stupid just because you don’t agree with them.
And yet his election increases the chances of those policies, policies like them, and other progressive policies (most of which he supports), to be enacted.
I’m with Bernie. You can stand over there on your own, if you want, but I’m with Bernie and very happy about this election.
Better add Biden too, then. I do think that you shouldn’t make judgments based on rapid fire questioning. Have you actually looked into Ossoff’s opinions?
These opportunists are not our friends, they’ll say and do what’s required to get ahead, don’t put any faith in them, it’s the same shit as the last decades of democrats
Politics is a messy business. Magic fairlyand’s not going to cut it. We have to win elections, and we just did. That’s not the end of progress, but it’s necessary for us to have any chance at progressive policies. Winning with a half-progressive is a lot better than losing to a fascist wingnut.
We need to get control of the Presidency, House, and Senate. We just did. The last time we had that we enacted the most progressive Health Care law in history, supported by Bernie Sanders, and bringing health care to tens of millions for whom it had been unavailable.
This is how it works in the real world. Thankfully, Bernie Sanders and most of the real progressives in the Democratic Party recognize this. Bernie, AOC, and the rest of the elected progressives worked to help elect Ossoff, and rightfully so. Great job to great progressives in America for helping to elect Ossoff and Warnock!
And rejecting all liberal Democrats who do not meet your specific progressive agenda, no matter how left of center they may be is a guarantee that the Republicans will take back power in 2022. You are as bad as the Trumpists who want to tear down the government to further their agenda. Rejecting a politician because he agrees with your ultimate goals but not your specific roadmap to achieving them is indeed a stupid liberal idea.
