Stupid liberal idea of the day

In addition suggesting that a more progressive candidate should have run in Georgia (which would have guaranteed McConnell retained control of the Senate) is also a stupid liberal idea.

And what is your problem with Imagine Dragons? They seem to have some catchy tunes.

Yeah but if you add Jack to his name it makes him sound like a wanker

I mean progressive get tucked, get someone from Georgia who isn’t a bootlicking twat and talks about what to do to help working people.

But you can’t because the Democratic establishment is fucked, not the people of Georgia

They’re the band everyone’s supposed to hate now. Why, I do not know. I think they’re pretty decent myself.

They’re way better than Creed! I think “Radioactive” is fun; especially the video.

Imagine Dragons the apartheid supporters soundtrack.

Oh, I get it. You’re just a troll. Go away, troll.

GMTA. Just added the name myself.

…huh?

I suspect alcohol is involved.

I guess it’s five o’clock somewhere.

A liberal amount. Now it all makes sense.

That last word should be Republicans. Specifically the MAGArepublicans. That’s pretty much how their Dear Leader got elected and kept them licking his boots.

So, in the recently-concluded Georgia runoffs, who does Manwich think we (well, not me; I live in Texas) should have voted for instead of Ossoff, and why wasn’t he promoting this person when it might have done some good?

Bonus question, is Rev. Warnock to be shunned as well? Just trying to establish the ground rules here.

A hell of a lot of people in Georgia (and other places, including right here in Deep Blue California, as I’m reminded every day on Facebook and NextDoor) are simple folk - the kind of people who brand things “socialist” and rail against them even though they couldn’t actually define socialism if it subsidized the payroll checks they get from Walmart. The kind of people who hate BLM because they think it is a secret Marxist plot to take over America. You know - morons.

Morons they may be, but we aren’t gonna win elections in the South without appeasing them. If it takes a centrist like Ossof or someone who plays on religion like Warnock to win them over, then so be it; it’s better than 2 more years of Moscow Mitch in control of the Senate.

And if you honestly believe that someone running on “what to do to help working people” would have those working people rally behind him in these southern states, as opposed to being crucified as a socialist and never holding elected office again, you are either extremely naive, a complete fool, or a right wing concern troll.

He can’t be all three?

This. And I’d like to thank poster Manwich for his excellent parody.

Yes, an insistence on “purity” which leads to losing an election is certainly a stupid idea that some folks still cling to. Thank goodness it did not happen this time, and the Democrats hold the senate now.

Manwich is simply pretending to hold this stupid idea and defending it poorly to illustrate how stupid it really is. And it’s working! Well done!

That video is a little off - a bunch of brown people are running what’s effectively a cock-fight until a white woman comes in and fixes everything. I’m not sure what they’re trying to say.

But, yes, Ossof is a Democrat who can win in Georgia. That he’ll win and caucus with Democrats is most important. And even while he didn’t/won’t say that he supports the GND, he’ll likely vote for various planks as they make their way through the Senate. (which they can now that Democrats control the Senate instead of sitting untouched on McConnell’s desk)

Biden inauguration uses MF Doom’s music. Biden’s deportation mad, kids in cages administration didn’t let him back into the country he’d lived in almost his entire life. I’m not sure he even spoke British when he was denied re-entry

“Biden was the second in command in an administration that deported more immigrants than all the twentieth-century presidents combined.”

Come on man, that’s malarky

Why would a lefty news site with credibility issues have a problem with the incoming president?
