Tell ya what, tough guy, you’ve got the constitutional authority/duty. Why don’t you introduce a resolution declaring war on Iran onto the floor of the House? Maybe you can FORCE the president to bomb Iran.
Ya chickenshit chickenhawk. bawwwk, bawwwk, buk-BAWWWK!
I didn’t see the video yet (at work) but I am reminded of the crazy lady who called Obama an Arab and John McCain corrected her politely. It was one of the few moments when McCain didn’t seem like a caricature during and even since the election so if he could manage it since he has been overcome by Derptitude, I have little patience for anyone else who can’t.
I have the impression that McCain lost a lot of votes right then, Santorum may be as loony tunes as the lady there but if he is also smarter than what he appears to be he could be weary of what happened to McCain. In a close election (You can count on the media to make it so) guys like Santorum do not want to alienate the most reliable voters for his side.
True. While he is an evil scumbag, I don’t think my former Senator is an idiot. He even seemed to chuckle momentarily when the crazy lady mentioned nuking Charleston.
In Missouri, while actively opposing subsidized insurance for people, the Republican lead state senate and house has passed a bill that will subsidize insurance on cows.
Okay, this isn’t about Republican politicians, but it’s about the base that elects them.

[Quote=The Hon. John Burt]
“Bottom line, if we keep bringing more of these bills, and bills, and bills forward that really I think we shouldn’t have in front of us, we’ll be picking a state hot dog next,” Burt insisted.

And then, before you know it, someone will be clamoring for a bill legalizing the right to marry a hot dog! Slippery slopes, people!
Finally, there was the genius who wrote, apparently without a trace of irony, “Hell No! This is America, not Latin America. When in Rome do as the Romans do!”
Actually, I suspect that one knew exactly what he was saying. In the rush to ferret out right-wing derpage, the Wonkette is probably missing that *some *of these have to be jokes.
Towards the bottom of the article she does mention that eventually the page started receiving a lot of people mocking the original comments. Whether or not that particular comment was serious or a joke is hard to say.
