The PNW has been unusually dry these past few years. The mountain snowpacks are below 10% of normal. And people in the PNW have vanishingly little love for the californians.

David Vitter wants to make sure that the US doesn’t switch to dollar or two dollar coins because, he doesn’t want to make it easier “for Washington elites to force Americans to give up their dollar bills and use dollar coins, like Europeans”

Mahi-mahi is a fish, not a dolphin. The fish is sometimes called dolphinfish, but it has gills, not a blowhole.
I’m surprised a Republican feels that way; it’s a known Democratic Party platform that they want to move us to an all-bill currency.

Cash is fading away. Nearly everybody uses cards for stuff anymore. Ten years from now, this will be a non-issue.
They need to get rid of pennies, and get rid of dimes.
Nickels and quarters, as a good first step.
Dimes are as ridiculous as the 2 dollar bill. Nickels exist and quarters exist, and there’s really no need for a coin piece in between them.
Nickels essentially replace the function of pennies- 20 of them is a dollar, and dollars are still worth having. And you can reasonably break a dollar with quarters and nickels. 3 quarters and 5 nickels is a dollar.
Quarters make half dollars and quarter dollar amounts simple.
Anything below 25 cents can be approximated with one or a few nickels.
Anything below 5 cents should be rounded up or down, in much the same way fractions of pennies are calculated and dropped today due to interest rates or tax rates.
You can easily get by with 2 coins, if we’re so set on having amounts smaller than a quarter, which is the only coin I really feel like having. Anything else is worthless to have around in your pocket, and you only keep them so you can avoid getting MORE change back, and it wastes time to dig around for 89 cents so you can avoid getting 11 cents back. All that change really does is sit in a coffee can at home waiting to be cashed in for actual money, or it gets lost.
If you want to have a workable system of coins, 25 cent and 5 cent pieces are plenty. Abolish the penny, and with it, the dime, and the 2 dollar bill, and the 10 dollar bill, and the fifty. What’s the friggen point of those denominations?
This is all you need:
Nickel
Quarter dollar
Dollar
Five dollar
20 dollar
100 dollar
1000 dollar, etc.
Tell me you can’t easily reach any dollar amount you regularly run into with these denominations, give or take 3 pennies.
I still fail to see how even were Roy Moore to die (and I do not wish death upon him, merely electoral loss) that even one gay marriage would be stopped.
I better not mention how even if gay marriage were stopped, there would still be gay sex.

He’s the POTUS, Dr. Carson. Most POTI look great for their public appearances and television appearances too. They have handlers to make them look great. It’s traditional. They can’t all be Jimmy Carter, wearing a cardigan or whatever.
That’s just because you live in a reality based community. We in the faith based community know it’s just common sense that windmills work that way, and so this is a viable solution. particularly if this means my company can get a big federal subsidy to build them.
