Stupid Republican idea of the day

This is actually pretty stupid for a variety of reasons. First, there are a number of Democrats who support either the NRA or at least responsible gun ownership. Still, I’ll at least give him a pass as the NRA heavily skews Republican and Wayne knows where his bread is buttered.

But the rest? Are there no Black NRA groups? I sure as shit know there are proud women NRA groups. So for the head of the NRA to stand up and say “hey, all you women we’ve been courting for so long? Here’s a nice pat on the head. Try not to get any illusions about running for President though because that’s the white man’s job.”

Well, I’ve seen depictions of black men with guns in some of the NRA literature but I’m not sure they were supposed to represent NRA members per se…

Well, he was born in Miami, but his parents were not naturalized until four years later, which makes him an anchor baby, and there is a sector of the RW that questions the legitimacy of citizenship acquired that way.

Yeah, one branch of the birthers say that both a person’s parents have to be either:

  1. Natural born US citizens (which means that no immigrant families would ever have descendants who were natural-born. Handy, huh?)

or

  1. US Citizens at the time the person was born.

or

  1. white and Republican.

You and your demographic warfare!

With #1, you are apparently worried about grandfather clause scenario, but since #2 would (presumably/hopefully) include naturalized citizens, then Marco’s children should be just fine.

You left out residents of the U.S. at the time the constitution was ratified.

Doesn’t make any difference, either way. You exit the birth canal within U.S. borders, you’re a natural-born citizen.

Fucking birthers.

I’m not sure if that includes embassies/consulates or prisons but I agree with your main sentiment - as long as the birther is extremely attractive and gagged.

“Rip Van Winkle? Sounds furrin.”

Good thing nobody gives a fuck what the birthers say.

The Twitter account of the Senate Republicans tweeted a memorial for today being the 150th anniversary of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. The wording of the tweet was a bit unfortunate:

Once the mistake was pointed out to them, they changed it:

That’s the loophole McCain used.

They knew what they were saying

Nah, I don’t think so, I think they just stepped on their dick. Remember, Republicans have gone to great and strenuous lengths to remind us, over and over and over, that Ol’ Abe was a Republican.

Those weren’t intended to represent black NRA members (although the NRA would claim that if questioned), they were intended to represent reasons to own a gun.

Yes, that was indeed the exact joke Gyrate was making. Well spotted!

Michigan business owner refuses to serve gay people because you can’t put a car together with “all bolts and no nuts”. (Doesn’t say he’s a Pub, but, you know . . .)

Has he set up his GoFundMe page yet?
