Stupid Republican idea of the day

More Joe Arpaio courtroom antics. He has admitted to hiring a private investigator to investigate the wife of the judge hearing his contempt case.

They should borrow that lynch mob from Baltimore for an hour or so.

Wanna bet he’ll claim the judge is biased?

Bobby Jindal finds his inner Occupy Wall Street protestor:

If they really want to make an impression, their communiques ought to include a mock-up of the first post-enactment bill to be sent to Aetna subscribers – with a prominently featured “Brownback Tax” line item.

But they’re people, Bobby ! Or have you forgotten ? Soylent Green is large corporations !!!

Ermm, Governor . . . the large corporations are half of your coalition.

Well, obviously these leaders are not “sitting idly by”, they are actively participating in the bifurcatory process.

Not going to provide links, because it is a silly stunt, but there is a site where you can go to have a cigar anonymously mailed to Ms. Hillary.

big eye  roll

That right there is the zenith of sophistication for Republican humor for the last three decades or more!

Truth. After three decades of the letter to John Hinckley that ends with “Did you know [Democrat Running For Office] has been fucking Jody Foster?” I’m ready for a new tasteless, mean Republican joke.

All the *old *tasteless, mean Republican jokes are running for the nomination.

Ex-pat cuban or patriotic American?

Given the recent history of the Republican Party, I would expect swisher sweets.

House Republicans voted to overturn a District of Columbia law which prevents gay people and single people from being discriminated against for having children.

Ted Cruz has filed a Constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage.

This is just getting sad at this point.

… They are also trying to block an amendment to the Human Rights Act that would give LGBT students at religious schools access to bathrooms and other public facilities. Yes, that’s really a thing – keeping LGBT people from using the bathroom.

Point of order: Cruz’ proposed amendment would ensure that states can keep their anti-SSM laws on the books without federal interference. It would not ban SSM on the federal level.

Still plenty sad.
.

It’s just now getting sad?

The Huckster fears we are heading towardthe criminalization of Christianity. It’s teh gayz’ fault, of course.

What it comes down to is they want to allow employers to force their religious beliefs on their employees. If an employer can hire or fire based on their religious beliefs, then can a Jewish employer fire you for eating pork? Can a Hindu employer fire you for eating meat? Can an employer fire you for not attending religious services?

The implications of these protections of “sincere religious beliefs” are frightening and could impact just about anyone who’s not a government employee (and they want there to be as few of those as possible).

They want maximum protection for the freedoms of employers. Employees? Who cares about their freedoms? Typical Republican mindset.
