Stupid Republican idea of the day

I understand that’s okay if it’s a post-birth baby.

What? Too ick?

Fox’s website posts an article from The Onion, and their readers just gobble it up like Thanksgiving turkey.

They treat their viewers/readers like they’re idiots.

From the comments:

Another comment:

I would say, then, that they are getting the treatment they deserve.

The link no longer works, and neither does the Google search link. Fox says I’m lost, but I’m pretty sure they lost it.

This page has a screenshot of the original article.

Thanks.

People clearly believe this crap because they want to think Obama’s crazy. I don’t know why anyone would be comforted by that thought.

Give the readers a little slack, the Onion article was roughly as true as anything else on the site about Obama.

This raises the interesting question of whether simply reposting Onion articles would raise Fox News’ journalistic standards.

OK, here’s a good one, Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips thinks we should go back to only allowing property owners to vote:

Where the fuck do these people come from? The early 19th Century or something?

Senate GOP letter calls for blocking most bills

An entire month dedicated solely to tax cuts for the rich. Stay classy, guys.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he examined the demographic breakdown of home ownership by race and realized that blacks and latinos, who skew democratic, own fewer homes combined than whites.

This is a great idea. Perhaps, the non-property owners should count as 3/5 of a person, so the census more fairly counts who would vote.

The Church could administer the whole thing, and we’d save money on Census workers.

I believe it’s wasteful to change politicians every four years. What can they do in such a short time ? And besides, the quasi-constant election cycle makes them very vulnerable to corruption and influence games. Much better to elect the President (and his heads of departments) for life. Hell, make the title hereditary, that way they’ll really focus on the country instead of their own pockets, what with that huge vested interest in it ! Same goes for Senators and Representatives of course, but are they really necessary ? Could save a *mint *on their salaries, dontcherknow…

Republican Eugene Delgaudio feels that TSA pat downs are a gay conspiracy.

We also had Steve King this week feeding his racist followers referring to Obama as ‘very urban’ while voicing his objections to the government paying people who the courts found where discriminated against by the department of agriculture. According to him this is ‘reparations’ for slavery.

Texas State Republican Executive Committee member John Cook is not prejudiced against Jews. He just thinks Christians do a better job.

Well, in fairness, it took Jesus like 35 years to die for our sins. A Christian would have gotten that shit done much more efficiently.

Holy Moly. He actually used the Some Of My Best Friends defense. I didn’t think anyone actually said that in real life.

This guy’s job is being a Christian conservative. There is no way a Jew can be a Christian as well as a Christian can be a Christian. Or if he is, he’s an incompetent Jew, and who wants an incompetent Jew in power? We’ll call the ‘conservative’ part a wash.

With regard to the Texas Leg., wouldn’t it be great if Molly Ivins were still with us. Imagin the lacing she would have given these pretenders.
