You’re at far higher risk from radicalized Americans.
You’re a coward. So is Cruz. So is Huckabee. So is Carson. So is Trump. So is Rubio. So is Bush. Ditto for the Governors trying to block the refugees.
This is completely bullshit. Take responsibility for what? Terrorist attacks? They’re going to happen. They are. It’s unavoidable. No matter how good our security.
The U.S. is far more at risk from people who are already here than from alleged terrorists who will go through the lengthy and through vetting process that we require of refugees.
The U.S., and all it means, and all it stands for, is far more at risk from pea-brained, syphilitic donkey’s asses like you cowering behind their computer monitors than it is from fucking terrorists.
You have mentioned how refugees are reviewed–extensively–when they come to the US. Several times, in several threads. I’m not objecting to this repetition–but to those whose refusal to comprehend the information forces you to repeat it.
If you actually believe it’s not true, then fine. But if you accept that there’s a good chance some of them are terrorists, then there’s no way around the fact that you’re knowingly admitting terrorists into the country. I don’t see why other posters would be so resistant to taking responsibility for that decision.
Two of the Paris bombers were Belgian citizens. Do you oppose immigration by Belgians? How can you take that chance? If you let Belgians in, you must take responsibility for any terrorist acts they commit. OWN it.
Sure, it’s possible. But given that the odds are much, much greater that a terrorist attack will come from someone already here - maybe even a native-born citizen - and given that the alternative is to punish tens or hundreds of thousands out of fear of a few dozen, I’m happy to own that risk.
When will you own the carnage your approach would cause?
There’s a much higher chance that there are terrorists already here (or future terrorists already here). I don’t believe there’s a “good chance” that, among well-vetted refugees, some are or will be terrorists.
I’d note that 9/11 involved no US citizens. Neither were the 1993 WTC bombers. Due to our natural advantage of having an ocean seperating us from that part of the world, we’ve historically had an easier time vetting people.
But at least now you’re taking a real stand on principle. That I can respect.
This pathological fear of Syrians is beginning to sound like the ebola panic we had last year. People overreacted and started quarantining doctors and nurses without cause, and spread fear unnecessarily. It must be a sad scary place inside your head.
Typical of the dehumanizing propaganda we’ve seen in any time of war or widespread fear. It’s easier to hate and fear someone you decide not to credit with being human. The propagandists count on people sliding into that mode of thought; it serves their purposes, whether they’re governments at war or political parties campaigning before a major election.
Fox will end that shit after 11/8/16, and maybe you will too. But your susceptibility to it will not end.
No condemnation for Democrats pushing gun control I see?
Oh wait, you’re fearmongering is just sensible precaution. Besides, I’m not fearful at all. I’m not at risk. The places that take them will be at risk. So stop whining. There’s plenty of room in the seven states that have said “yes” to accomodate 10-50K. If you’re willing to take on the risk, more power to you.
I’m pretty confident. Of course they have the right to move, but they won’t. They’ll stay where they will be cared for, and then lash out at the communities that host them because they didn’t get as much support as they think they are entitled to.
