Stupid Republican idea of the day

Amongst you soft guys with the wobbly bits…what is the absolute lowest? I’ve been told “sow” was the very bottom. Don’t have any real need to know, just the curiosity bump.

I stumbled across that story earlier in the week and was going to report it, till I saw that the story was from a year ago and events have superceded.

Donald Trump to Father of Fallen Soldier: ‘I’ve Made a Lot of Sacrifices’

Excuse me, I have some cookies to toss…

The surest sign that what you’re about to hear is racist is the inclusion of the words “I’m not a racist, but”.

Damn, I didn’t notice that. It popped up in my news feed.

That’s pretty typical right wingnut revisionism, just like the Clinton era of peace and prosperity was all a delayed reaction to Reagan’s policies, and the 9-11 attack was all Clinton’s fault, while Bush kept us safe.

Actually, “gorilla face” and “monkey man” are pretty strong indicators themselves.

I remember when Rush Limbaugh blamed the economic crisis in 2008 on president-elect Obama.

… The headline is about conservatives reacting to Coulter, then they quote Keith Olbermann?

On a related note, I’d sort of like to see one of these people double down on a quote like this sometime. I’d like to see Ann Coulter say to her fellow conservatives criticizing her, “Yeah, what are you going to do about it? Become a suicide bomber? Fly a plane into a skyscraper? That’s what he wants to do, I’m sure.” Just let that racist flag fly proudly, so it’s impossible to deny anymore. Too many people are hiding behind cloaks of plausible and not so plausible deniability, and too many people believe them, and I’m kind of sick of it.

Sandy Rios claims that there is no way that Khizr Khan can be a patriotic American until he condemns Muslim terrorism.

Goddam shit piss fuck! Venomous mutation of pond scum and a Gila Monster! Soul of a scorpion, lacking the warmth! Pus bucket for all thousand sexual diseases of the camel! And…and…an asshole!

You know folks, it’s legit eerie how “Islam” or “Islamic terrorism” is reminiscent of “Jews” back in the 1900s, the way they’re used in mainstream political discourse these days. Hit the newspaper archives, you’ll see. I ain’t saying, I’m just saying.
I’m still waiting on the Protocols of the Elders of Mecca, but I guess thereligionofpeace.com is a decent enough substitute. Gotta move with the times. And I’m pretty convinced that twenty years from now, the people around me will wring their hands, wondering where we went wrong or how we got to the death camps. Not the drone nukes on the sandbox - the camps. We’ll eat our own yet, just you wait.

You know what’s darkly hilarious to me though ? How Orlando suddenly made so very many rabid right wingers opportunistically gay-friendly. But then I had practice laughing about it - in my own country the attack on Charlie Hebdo suddenly gained them so *very *many fans who’d shat upon them the fourty years prior :).
Mindless, ignorant hatred is so cool. Brings people together, you know ?

All I needed to read was the first three words of the headline to know how vile it would be. “Christian radio host.”

Speaking of ‘vile’, is it just me or does it feel like the “Stupid idea of the day” has recently morphed into the Vile idea of the day?

Have we heard this person condemn terrorists like the Bundys and their ilk?

“great plank”, “eye”, etc.

Well, the crowning stupidest, and vilest, Republican idea of all time has been to let Donald Jackass Trump receive the nomination to run for President, with only a small handful of long-time GOP faithful continuing to speak against him.

Declining health issues.” Would that be mental health by any chance?

Three bouts of cancer. Guy’s a turd, but that’s pretty damned horrible.

Didn’t see this but, to no one’s surprse the voter restriction laws were custom designed to keep blacks from voting:
